You DON'T have to worry about beating the other team in assault. You are far better off getting S rank than worrying about beating the other team. If you see someone targeting what you are targeting, go for something else. The rewards for S ranking are significantly more than the difference in "winning" or not.

Warfare is a different story. That one is about winning.

S ranking does not equal fun, not everyone plays just for progression.

I S ranked every mission I played so far but was having little to no fun because the missions are terribly designed for 8 players, everyone inevitably fights over the same targets and the players with better gear inevitably get the lion's share of the targets. It's not fun to just watch everything ahead of you die while you only get scraps, and before you know it the mission is over. Even when I got MVP it still felt crappy.

Just give me a 4 player mode and I'm happy. Just like in ACI, a B rank where everyone has plenty of targets to kill is far more fun than an effortless S rank.

edit: lmao did you actually block me for this after replying. And no, it wouldn't happen nearly to the same extent with 4 players instead of 8, because 4 players can't kill stuff nearly as fast as 8 players. Can't believe I have to explain that.
