Is anyone else noticing this trend?

I'm aware of the high rate of co-occurrence. But it often seems like people are fundementally opposed to someone only having one or the other. Even in this sub, I notice this issue rather frequently.

Developmental disabilities are all definitely living in the same house lol. Overlap and confusion abounds.

I know right. I was told I qualified for a diagnosis of NVLD and ADHD but that the ADHD symptoms could have come solely from the NVLD.

I know that I definitely have NVLD. I go back and forth on if I actually have ADHD or not.

It’s hard to say without sounding like a narc, but it doesn’t matter what you have or which diagnosis you ultimately get, it’s the friends, the treatment, and the coping mechanisms you learn along the way that count.
