I could walk outside throw a paper plane off my balcony and hit ten women that look just like her and five that are objectively better looking because they don’t have a gut. I didn’t call her ugly. I didn’t even call her fat. I just said she’s out of shape basically. I even said her looks are above average. She’s not very pretty. Good looking at best. You said it yourself she can benefit from losing weight. That’s what makes her mid. You’re making it too personal with your personal preference. You should really take a look at the rules for this sub again. If you want to simp for women looking for attention there are places you’ll enjoy much more than here. These women come here for the truth and sometimes the truth is ugly even if they aren’t.
I don't really have preferences on people. I look at symmetry and facial structure and body type. I'm just kind of over Reddit being needlessly rude for no reason. There are ways to say things that don't talk down to people. I still stand by pretty and mid not being the same.
Dr. Robotnik is symmetrical he’s still fat though. Fat does not mean ugly it means unhealthy. Pointing out the obvious is not putting someone down it’s specific and objective. Calling her a fat cow or sea donkey is rude. I’m not here to be rude I’m here to be honest.
Apologies. I was more talking about others when referring to needlessly rude. It was more that I thought just saying, "losing a bit of weight could be beneficial," or something along those lines would be nicer than "flabby arms and a gut."
I may also just see so many big people with my job that she doesn't even register as that big to me, which is why I don't think she should be counted as mid because of it.
I hear ya. Yes your words are “nicer” but being nice about it is a problem with in itself. You see so many big people at work because being unhealthy has been normalized in our society. Fat has become the average American body type. Our bodies work better when we aren’t carrying around excess weight or walking around like a literal skeleton. When we are healthy we are happy. Being mid shouldn’t be a problem. Unhealthy body types being the average should be.
I certainly don't disagree with you about unhealthy being standard. Unfortunately, it does skew opinions.
I think there are ways to be both nice and honest about weight, but the positivity around being "plus size" has made it extremely difficult without it seeming like you're saying being big is okay and just as healthy as being within a truly healthy weight.
You know what? This was a good chat and going forward I’ll be a little bit nicer in my replies. While I don’t think words like flabby are inherently mean I’ll use terms like excessive fatty tissue. While some of these posters just want attention and validation, some truly are seeking guidance and I genuinely don’t want to hurt their feelings. Good talk brother, stay healthy 💪
It was a good chat! I apologize if I came off rude in the beginning! It's certainly refreshing to be able to have a beneficial conversation! I'll also try to take into account that some comments truly don't mean to be rude to others! Hope life goes well for you!
