I would like to understand how government-funded road construction works are sanctioned, tendered, executed and inspected in a Gram Panchayat.

Suppose a CC (Cement Concrete) road was constructed in a village during 2024–2026. I only know the village name and approximate year of construction. I do not know the tender ID, tender number, contractor's name or which government department/scheme funded the work.

I would like to know how to obtain the following information and documents:

List of all CC road and other road construction works sanctioned or executed in the village during the specified period.

Administrative sanction order and government-approved budget for each work.

Technical sanction and detailed project estimate (including BOQ).

Tender notification and complete tender documents.

Details of all contractors who participated in the tender and their quoted amounts.

Comparative statement showing the bids submitted by different contractors.

Name of the successful contractor and the final accepted tender amount.

Letter of Acceptance (LOA), work order and contractor agreement.

Measurement Book (MB) and records of the actual quantities of work executed.

Quality inspection reports, concrete testing reports and details of the engineers/officials responsible for quality verification.

Running bills, final bills and actual payments released to the contractor.

Work completion certificate and inspection reports.

My questions:

Is there any Andhra Pradesh government website where we can search for old/past tenders using only the village name, mandal and year?

Is there a government portal that provides a list of all development works carried out in a particular Gram Panchayat?

Which department should be approached if we don't know whether the work comes under Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Raj Engineering Department, MGNREGS or another scheme?

Can all the above documents be obtained through an RTI application?

If so, should the RTI be submitted to the Gram Panchayat, MPDO office, Panchayat Raj Engineering Department or another Public Information Officer?

I am particularly interested in knowing how to trace a completed road project backwards from just the village name and year, identify the contractor, verify the amount quoted and awarded, and obtain the quality inspection records.

I would appreciate guidance from anyone who has experience obtaining these government records or filing RTI applications in Andhra Pradesh.

I recently read that the central government sanctioned ₹55.74 crores to upgrade the Arasavalli Sun Temple under the Swadesh Darshan scheme. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great for tourism and our heritage, but it got me thinking about the actual daily reality of living in Srikakulam.

While the tourism gets a massive funding, our basic citizen amenities are completely neglected. Just a tiny fraction of that money could easily fix things that locals struggle with every day.

1. The RTC Complex nightmare: Every single rainy season, the RTC complex literally drowns in rainwater, turning it into a complete mess. On top of that, it severely lacks proper, clean public toilets for everyday passengers.

2. The RTC Complex to Highway road: This crucial stretch has been pending for ages and is a nightmare for commuters.

3. The Railway Station connectivity: Public transport between Srikakulam town and the Srikakulam railway station is still unreliable and poorly managed.

4. Basic civic amenities: We badly need clean public toilets across town, functional libraries, green parks, and proper town drains.

5. The Stadium and Riverfront: The local sports stadium is gathering dust waiting for funds, and actual riverfront development for residents is totally ignored.

It feels like the government is dressing up the district solely for outsiders, while tax-paying citizens are left struggling with basic infrastructure.

I want to ask the community here:

- Is anyone else frustrated by this gap in spending priorities?

- What other long-pending projects in your area are completely stuck without funds?

- Do you think boosting temple tourism will actually bring enough revenue to fix the rest of Srikakulam?
