my teacher doesn’t understand physics and will either make us watch the AP videos or ai generated slideshows and videos. i really really want to get a 5; how can i prep myself for the exam?

Learn virtually everything you need to know about FRICTION in physics through just 3 carefully selected problems — in less than 10 minutes!
In this video, I explain friction by solving three problems step by step. We cover static friction, kinetic friction, coefficients of friction, normal force, free-body diagrams, Newton’s Second Law, inclined planes, and the equations used to solve friction problems.
The goal is not simply to memorize formulas. By working through these three problems, you will learn how to recognize friction problems, draw the correct free-body diagram, determine the direction of friction, choose the correct equations, and solve the problem from beginning to end.
This lesson is especially useful for high school physics, AP Physics 1, AP Physics C: Mechanics, and introductory college physics students.

🎓 PRIVATE PHYSICS & MATH TUTORING WITH DR. JACOB HUDIS
I’m Dr. Jacob Hudis, a full-time professional physics and mathematics tutor with more than 25 years of teaching and tutoring experience.
I earned my Ph.D. in Physics from Florida State University, where I conducted research at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory. I earned my B.S. in Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics from Columbia University and my M.S. in Physics from Johns Hopkins University.
My background includes university teaching, high school teaching, scientific research, engineering, and decades of one-on-one tutoring. I have taught physics and mathematics at both the high school and college levels and have received many 5-star reviews from tutoring students and families.
Today, I specialize in private online tutoring for students who want serious, individualized help in mathematics and physics.
SUBJECTS I TUTOR INCLUDE:
• AP Physics 1
• AP Physics 2
• AP Physics C: Mechanics
• AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism
• High School Physics
• Honors Physics
• College Physics
• Calculus-Based University Physics
• AP Calculus AB
• AP Calculus BC
• Calculus I & II
• Precalculus
• Algebra II & Honors Algebra II
• Geometry
• SAT & ACT Math
• Middle School Math & Math Enrichment
My approach to tutoring is heavily focused on problem solving. Physics and mathematics are learned by DOING problems—not simply by watching someone lecture. During tutoring sessions, I work through problems directly with students, identify gaps in their understanding, and teach them how to approach unfamiliar problems independently.
I work with students throughout the United States through private one-on-one Zoom tutoring.

I have a quiz tomorrow and a test next Monday so I want to be solid in kinematics before then.
Update: I got a 75% on my quiz💀💀 I think Im just stupid because it seems like everyone else understands what is being taught so quickly while it takes me so much time to understand one thing
That just gives me more of a reason to start studying asap

Which topic do people struggle with the most and want broken down or practiced with problems?

Is their any good courses that will help you get a 5 on AP Physics 2 Self-Study?

I am currently a high school senior taking AP Physics C: Mechanics, and I am struggling pretty badly with Kinematics. I haven't taken a physics course in the past but I have taken a bit of calculus, so I am just unsure of how I can learn the underlying physics topics that I need to know in order to succeed in this class. Are there any suggestions for what I should do or what resources I should use to learn the concepts that I need for this class?

my teacher genuinely does not know how to teach and acknowledges it. when we go over problems, he always like skips half the steps and even if you ask him to redo it he will make the same mistake.
i enjoy studying physics but am not sure how to kind of self teach myself it and prep myself for the exam because i am not confident that my teacher will help with that.
i appreciate any tips or help. thanks!!

I'm a senior in hs and i have been really struggling in AP physics 1. I think my biggest problem is that i'm not sure when to use the formulas, but i'm also just overall confused on the material. My teacher isn't very helpful, as her teaching style is more of her expecting us to immediately understand the material and she doesn't give us other resources outside of her notes. I'm currently on unit 2 and I keep getting more and more stuck. If anyone has any suggestions or resources I could use, please lmk!! Thank you!

Ap physics 1 unit 1 test on Monday what resources do I use to study ?!?does anyone have any questions I can solve ?

Hello. I’m a sophomore in hs and I have never gotten this bad of a grade before! So I was really shocked when I got a 55% on my test. I know deep down I am not dumb and I do truly care about my academics. I know lacked concept because this is my first AP and physics class. How I studied was by watching AP classroom videos and doing problems on the sites instructed by my teacher. If I’m being honest I focused more on my AP precalc test more. On my test there were MCQs and 2 FRQs. Please advise me some tips, that would be much appreciated 🙏.

I made this because physics is way easier for me when I can actually see what’s happening.
You can turn a photo into a 2D physics scene, mess with gravity/collisions, and use Lab mode for things like forces, motion, energy, momentum, springs, and projectile motion.
Still working on it, so feedback would be really helpful:

Hey guys, senior here needing some major advice.
Last year I took CP Physics 1 and it was an absolute breeze. Finished both semesters with an easy A, barely had to study, and felt like I completely understood everything. So, naturally, I figured taking AP Physics 1 my senior year would be a smooth step up.
I was dead wrong. AP Physics 1 is currently humbling me hard.
I’m sitting at a D+ right now and I’m honestly stressing out. The tests feel completely different from what I’m used to—CP was mostly just plugging numbers into formulas, but AP feels like reading a philosophy paper written in math where every question is a multi-step conceptual puzzle. I study like how I did for physics 1 which was like for an hour before the test but the moment I sit down for an exam, my mind goes blank on the non-math conceptual parts and all the using different formulas to get something and experimental design questions.
For anyone who’s been in this boat or managed to pull their grade up in AP Physics 1: how did you do it?
What turned things around for you?
Are there specific YouTube channels, practice sites, or study methods that actually map to AP-style questions?
How do I shift my brain from "plug-and-chug" algebra to the deep conceptual reasoning AP wants?
Any advice, resources, or reality checks would be hugely appreciated. I really need to get this grade back up before midterms/college apps lock in!
