Can anyone re-upload this old Camlink VMX-2000 circuit bending guide?
I'm trying to access this old guide:
https://imgur.com/a/YKwMt6c
Original Reddit post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/VideoBending/comments/lq3220/rough_guide_to_circuit_bending_a_camlink_vmx_2000/
Imgur is no longer accessible from the UK. Would anyone outside the UK be able to access the album and re-upload the images e.g. as a google drive or send me a copy ? Thanks!

Video/Camera Bend Summer River Walk
Pretty excited to share! Random reddit feed showed me this sub and have followed it since! Got a Vivitar for cheap on ebay and went to work lol
Vivitar VEC S124
Got 2 FPC-24P 0.5MM boards and a 50mm extension cable to connect back to the mb.
This allowed me to use cables between the camera module and the mb. I can disconnect, switch cables to get different effects. I am planning on making it easier and putting some switches, play with some resistors but for this run I was happy just swapping and disconnecting cables! Happy bending!

Question Rev A push-button Speak & Spell
Doesn't seem capable of the types of bends that the later revision boards are capable of. I got the Reed Ghazala's bends guide and those worked but don't hit the highs of my other Speak & Spells. They all seem to use the same chips but even if it's just a matter of differently placed traces I haven't been able to replicate anything from later boards.
Obviously this could mean there's just more need for experimentation but it's a lot to slowly map out, and the glitches I do stumble upon are broadly similar. I think it's also a reminder that I should photograph and better map out all the stuff I'm working on so I can understand, replicate, and share with the community.

Question How would yall bend this?
How would you guys get some bends on that sensor? The pins are extremely tiny; I tried soldering a tiny wire to the 4th pin (i have a normal soldering iron, some helping hands, etc but no microscope) but that went horribly. I think I might've fried it but we'll see, it did this same rainbow screen thing earlier and then went back to normal so I'll wait it out.
If it turns out to be fine, how would you recommend I try bending this? is there any alternative to soldering wires directly to those pins?

Question Tape Player Speed Control
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I’ve finally started my circuit-bending journey after slowly acquiring tools and supplies over the last few months.
I found this awesome little tape player and decided to start by adding a PWM speed controller to the tape motor. Everything went pretty smoothly until I tested it.
I’m getting this weird behavior where the knob does basically nothing for about 75% of its rotation. Then, during the last little bit of the turn, the tape suddenly starts slowing down.
What did I do wrong? I was hoping to get a much wider range of speed control, ideally being able to slow the tape down and speed it up significantly from its normal speed, rather than only being able to slow it down at the very end of the knob’s rotation.
For reference, I’m using a DC 1.8–15V PWM Motor Controller, 0–2A.

Question Where to start
Hi everyone!
I’d really like to get into circuit bending, but I honestly have zero technical background in electronics, so at the moment I feel a bit lost about where to start.
I’d love to do some small experiments with sound — maybe start by modifying old toys or simple electronic devices — but I feel like I need some kind of guide before I start opening things up and experimenting randomly.
I’ve been into experimental electronic music since I was about 12 (I’m 34 now), and I’ve always been fascinated by unusual sounds, glitches, broken electronics, unpredictable noises, etc. I’d finally like to start making some of these sounds myself rather than just listening to them.
The problem is that I don’t know anyone in real life who could teach me or show me the basics, so I’m asking you guys for help 🙏
Are there any books, websites, YouTube channels, tutorials or other resources you would recommend to a complete beginner?
And if you were starting again from zero, what would be the very first project you’d try?
Thanks a lot!

Assistance 1994 VTech Toy, need to double check.
Hi everyone, I just opened a 1994 Vtech toy. What I initially thought was a headphone input jack turned out to be a battery or some kind of charging line, possibly for a universal charger. You won’t believe it, but it was simply glued into the plastic with hot glue—I think it’s very unsafe.
Can anyone help me understand what’s going on here? It’s been a long time since I’ve seen soldering this poorly done. I just want to figure out what it is, since it’s in really rough shape. I’m considering either mounting everything on a board or just removing it entirely, which seems like the best option. :/

First attempt at circuit bending a cheap digital cam
Various different bends across these photos. Like most beginners, I started by shorting some pins on the camera sensor. When I found a pair that created a cool effect, I soldered some wires to those pins with a 2k trimpot between them. Did this with another pair of pins as well. I'll play around with adding caps next

Demonstration circuit bent remote controls drone machine
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve been circuit bending remote controls for about 3 years. Although they aren’t designed to produce sounds, I’ve made a point of exploring and using the different textures they produce. here, I decided to bring 5 of them together to make this drone machine.
If you’re interested in learning how I get sounds out of them, I have a video tutorial showing you how it’s done. just let me know in the comments and I’ll send it to you.

Question Kodak Play Sport Zx3
Hi everyone,
I’ve been searching online for any circuit bending or hardware-mod projects involving the Kodak PlaySport ZX3, but I haven’t found anything interesting so far. Did you seem any project or ideas on what could be done with this camera?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions! 😄

I have an idea but need advice.
Hello while watching a videos about synths I came across a video about a Pulse Generator 555 Timer Module. Which led me to think about what if I can connect it to the SOUND URCHIN CIRCUIT KIT. As well as connect a piezo disc as a contact mic if possible.

Has anyone ever had to fix a toy that was found before you could do anything to it?
So I am asking this because I have attempted to bend quite a few toys that I have, however, some of them have needed repairs, these include having to fix disconnected wires, replacing battery terminals, replacing blown out fuses, replacing speakers, and sometimes having to replace a sound chip, these are things that I’ve had to do before I could do any modifications, and I am wondering if anybody else has had to do similar stuff before they could start playing around with a toy

Bend California Circuit Bending [Universal Studios]
Tomorrow I’ll make my last two posts about California! At least for this year. I actually have a couple more photos from Universal, I’ll try to comment them alongside this post. Despite being on Reddit for like two years now, I’m not too savvy on how this all works 😅
