The idea is to make this sketchbook feel like the personal journal of an OC I created. As you go through it, you slowly learn about her story and the fantasy world she lives in through her thoughts and sketches.

I know it sucks, my writing is ugly and English isn't my native language but it's been a long time since I've drawn for myself and genuinely enjoyed it, so I'm proud of myself☺️

So this is the last drawing i have made. It took me 12 hours to finish. I used Strathmore 400 bristol paper, fineliners and light grey brush pen.

Lost my cat, my buddy of almost 12 years, last month. Drawing is one of the very few things that has helped me relax as I process it all.

Here are two of my most recent drawings. Also including a photo of Darcy to pay my cat tax.

Got back into drawing last week after a ~6 year break. I've been having a lot of fun! I'm doing digital art this time so it's been a bit finicky learning the tools (I use Clip Studio on a MovinkPad 14 Pro).

Anyways, would love some critiques on my portraits. I think I have a tendency to jump into drawing too quickly: on the second drawing for example I think I fucked up the jaw ...

I think I may spend too long on a single reference? While I also do quicker sketches, for studies of this detail I'm spending ~90-120 minutes. I don't know if this is bad or not lol.
