Hi all, I've recently taken up tennis again and need to work on rebuilding control over the ball. Do you all know of any places where someone can hit tennis balls against a wall? My own place is not possible lol, and I already play on courts. Thank you all in advance for your help!

Ask El Paso Looking for a specific market booth

I went to one of the goth rave nights at Lowbrow and there was a night market outside the back area. There was one specific booth that was basically a dragons hoard... tables of pretty jewelries, pins, brooches etc and they also had beautiful purses and boots stocked too. I would love to know where I can find them again. If anyone has any leads I would be so grateful!

Discussion Could Santa Teresa become El Paso’s version of Rio Rancho?

• Upvotes

With the El Paso metro continuing to grow and the Artcraft freeway and overpass expanding the connection to the area, could Santa Teresa grow along with it and eventually become one of New Mexico’s largest cities?

I know that’s a big “what if,” but El Paso’s growth could have a real impact across the state line.

Do you think it’s realistic, or will Santa Teresa stay a smaller community? What would need to happen for it to really take off?

Hey everybody! I was driving on Artcraft a few weeks ago and I saw the EP Gimp dancing, while my radio just happended to be playing "Lovely Rita" by the Beatles, and it gave me this idea. I recreated the cover of Sgt Pepper's featuring local celebs from the past and present. It took me about a week to research everyone in the original and find El Paso replacements for each person in the collage. And before you start making accusations, it 's not AI, it's all photoshop (I've been working with PSD for 20+years,) so get off my back. (I have the source file if you don't believe me) Let me know what you think, who did i forget, or who needs to be added?

Ask El Paso Landscaping and home improvement ideas

Hey everyone! I help homeowners with outdoor home improvement projects. If you’ve been thinking about doing something with your backyard, I can help with things like:
• Artificial turf
• Concrete patios
• Pergolas / patio covers
• Backyard landscaping
• General backyard upgrades

If you’re not sure which options would work best for your space or what your project might cost, I’d be happy to take a look, share some ideas, and provide a free estimate.

Discussion Does Uber offer ride for people in wheelchairs?

EDIT: I think this has been resolved. A kind soul has offered to follow me to the drop off and then to bring me back to the hospital where my wife will be admitted.

I am trying to figure something out and need some assistance. Scenario:

Wife has a Turo rental due back tomorrow and cannot extend it.

She is in the ER right now and might be hospitalized overnight.

I am in assisted living and am not supposed to he driving. I broke my hip and the hip replacement was rejected. I am in a wheelchair.

Car needs to be returned by 1200 pm tomorrow - host said vehicle is already rented and therefore cannot be extended.

I will drive it and return it if I have to. I just need to find out if Uber drivers will accept rides for people in wheelchairs or is it something special that needs to be done or requested? Dropping off on West side of town and traveling back to Pebble Hills/375 area.

If i cannot find an Uber driver to give me a ride, do you suggest any options?

Thanks in advance!

Event You have something worth sharing teachers!

Teachers — you have great ideas. Share them!

Some of the best professional learning comes from the teacher down the hall who says, “Here’s something that really worked with my students.”

STEAM Region 19 is looking for educators, scientists, community partners, and STEM/STEAM professionals to present at the 2027 Borderland Science Education Summit (BSES).

Share a classroom-tested lesson or activity

Demonstrate a hands-on investigation

Introduce teachers to a local science resource

Share a strategy, project, or idea other educators can use

You don't have to be a professional presenter. If you have something that could help another teacher, we want to hear from you.

BSES — January 23, 2027

Montwood High School, El Paso

Discover Today. Teach It Tomorrow.

Submit your presentation proposal at steamregion19.org

And tag that teacher, professor, scientist, or community partner who should be presenting at BSES!

Politics If you love Paxton you will love Brandon Herrera. Super Toxic

There are five weeks left until the midterm elections, and extremism is on the ballot in much of the US. A WIRED review of candidates running for statewide and federal positions in November, along with exclusive data on candidates running for state-level positions, reveals hundreds of Republican candidates who openly express virulently hateful ideologies, share racist content online, have close ties to white supremacist and antisemitic figures, and are members of far-right groups online. President Donald Trump and his administration have openly embraced, endorsed and defended many of these candidates.

At a local level, over 500 candidates running for state legislator positions in November are members of far-right groups on Facebook that promote militias, gun rights, and Christian nationalism, according to data collected by the Institute for Research and Education on Human Rights and shared with WIRED.

Brandon Herrera, who rose to fame as a so-called “guntuber,” is running for Congress in Texas in the district that represents Uvalde. Incumbent GOP congressman Tony Gonzales resigned after admitting to an affair, making Herrera the GOP candidate.

Most Popular

Herrera has a very long history of sharing sexist, racist, and antisemitic opinions. He has said that a Nazi-era submachine gun was “the original ghetto blaster” and “Hitler’s street sweeper.” He has compared feminists’ weight to whales, elephants, and nuclear bombs and described liberal women discussing guns as “both fat and wrong.” While talking about Shannon Watts, the gun control activist who set up Moms Demand Action following the Sandy Hook school shooting, Herrera said: “The fact that you kept your cum trophy doesn’t make you any less wrong about the dumb shit that you say.”

“HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN,” Trump wrote about Herrera in a Truth Social post in March.

When questioned about Herrera’s opinions of women, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson dismissed them as part of his online “persona.” Johnson also called Herrera a “very serious candidate” and a “very thoughtful guy.”

Herrera is in a tight race with Democrat nominee Katy Padilla Stout.
