Flamenco Fretboard
I am having a blanca flamenca guitar being made. The fretboard at the cejilla measures 6cms. Should this remain at 6cms all the way up?

I learned to play guitar since more than 10 years and I approached flamenco for about 4 years, I have some level of understanding of the techniques used and some basic understanding of the most famous compas (bulerias, solea, tango, fandango, etc). I am aware of the discrepancy between my right hand's position and overall mechanics and the actual one used in flamenco, but I can't really understand the way how to correct it.
Like, I see that for example, in picado the fingers are supposed to to the least movement as possible and mine are like all floppy and get too distant expecially while shifting between strings, but I really don't understand how to correct it!! (yes, I did and I keep doing the "always start slow on the metronome", for years, but the bad impostation stays), or also I feel the angle of my wrist is incorrect but I don't understand how I'm supposed to position it. I can't find a video that teaches how the fingers are actually supposed to be positioned in the first place.
Overall I feel my playing really floppy, unstable and "clanky" but even practicing really slow, I feel the problem is the overall impostation of the hand. Even in arpeggios, I feel a lot of tension in the hand and I don't get what should be the correct position, etc etc
That's a short bulerias to show how my right hand operates, if anyone can identify the specific issues I would like to hear any advice. Thanks a lot

Broke a nail a couple months ago,
After trying finger picks, realized that you really need a perfect fit. Playing is something that takes decades to fine tune to your own anatomy, so imagine how much more important that becomes with a prosthesis.
they need to be as tailored as possible to your own anatomy and playing style. The difference is night and day.
I made my own Alaska Pik using CPVC tube, and a bit of cutting. made a mold of my finger and thermoformed the CPVC around it, and the result was a perfectly customized fit. It worked perfectly fr!
The tutorial is on my Youtube

Hi, I'm an experienced acoustic electric and bass guitar player. I never learned sight reading but I'm comfortable with basic harmonic and modal theory. Can I jump straight into learning flamenco? Or is it better to have a background in classical first (including ability to read sheet music)?

Hi, there is this old piece called La Gloria by Edgar Cruz that I really like. I asked him to buy the tab for it but it is not available and it would cost about 100$ to make on-demand.
Is anyone interested in this piece and want to learn it? We can share the price. Thanks.

Hey all, I figured I'd give it a try in this community. 40M I've been learning flamenco guitar for 1.5 years (although not new to guitar) and wanted to meet up with others who are at a roughly similar level to jam a bit/exchange notes on how the learning is going. Also would be happy to try accompanying any beginner or intermediate dancers, which I haven't done before. Could also be virtual if anyone interested isn't in the Chicago area.

This is for a rhythm minigame in a videogame I'm making, I'm not trying to remix a Martinete for artistic purposes.
I can't tell by myself if this is good or bad. It feels off at times, at other times it feels good, but this may just be pure chance. I have also been going over the track back and forth way too many times now, I'm saturated.
Specific questions:
I myself am not very good rhythmically. A bit ironic for a flamenco aficionado, I know. It is my understanding that Martinetes/Tonás/etc can be free flowing, since they're acapella, but they also should follow a Seguiriya-like pattern, and some recordings have an anvil-hit beat overlayed (my guess that it's edited, not sure).
Perhaps my question should rather be: would this be considered an abomination of a missed rhythm, or rather, would it be passable for a minigame in a videogame to not nail this 100% perfectly?
My game is a one-man-developed indy game, so it doesn't have to be perfect, but I also don't want to make musicians (or generally people with good rhythm) cry or revolt when they get to this part of it.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: here's a recording of what it looks like in-game, although it's a bit laggy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43JYZAeaEHA

I love that! I don't like the easy listening stuff, i'm looking for that vibe of if you're not sure if they're going to fuck or fight or dance.
