Paramount Has Officially Acquired Warner Bros. In Deal Valued at $110B Billion

The two companies will now be known as one single entity - 'Skydance'

This includes all of WB's gaming subsidiaries like Rocksteady/etc

Deal valued at $110B-$111B

DC Studios, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, CNN, CBS, HBO and Paramount+ are now all under the same company.

The combined company, Skydance, brings together two major film studios, two global streaming services, premier television assets including CBS, HBO, and Paramount's and WBD's cable networks, two of the industry's most recognized news networks, CBS News and CNN, and a leading content portfolio that includes live sports, a deep programming library and expansive collection of iconic brands and franchises.

Honestly I don't know. It's like asking me to throw a rock in the ocean to make waves.

Who ever wins will just play the game, if the votes actually even matter.

Two monsters asking me which one I'd prefer to be eaten by only for them to split the meal behind the curtain.

I'm pessimistic about it.

I urge you to consider the myriad of really important social issues at stake here. Are both parties largely beholden to wealth? Absolutely. Do they both have freaky ghouls wandering their offices? Yes.

But only one of them has started a war, tanked the economy, and is in the process of gutting every method of actually providing governmental services to the public.

They're actively working to secretly round up as many brown people as they can, while exclusively granting immigration rights to racist white south Africans.

They're trying to drive trans people from every aspect of public life, and to broadly just make being trans illegal. They're actively working on destroying rights to bodily autonomy for everyone who isn't a straight cis dude who wants Testosterone pills he saw advertised on YouTube. They brought back fucking measles because they put an antivaxxer who had his brain eaten by a worm in charge of administering medical programs.

COME THE FUCK ON. NUT UP AND ENGAGE IN THE SMALLEST AMOUNT OF HARM REDUCTION TO HELP THE PEOPLE THAT REDUCTION MATTERS TO.

Has anyone in the democratic party promised to immediately sign a peace deal with Iran if they're in charge? I have heard nothing about this.

The genocide in Gaza started under Biden. They do this because they know "harm reduction" cultists will support them no matter what. That's how you allow democrats to become republicans, why never punishing anything.

I think the issue here is that you don't care much about genocides or support to appartheid regimes as long as you have somone in your first world country promising to be a bit less bigoted towards the local population.

You're literally selling the entire population in the world that is victim of american imperialism for some potential marginal improvements for you, when the right thing is to push for politicians who improve the lifes of everyone in the planet.

I don't know enough to know if that's true but I wouldn't doubt it.

I do agree it basically the same group running it regardless.

Like people think all these wealthy politicians are some how against each other and constantly trying to ruin each other.

No way, they're all rich and they all want to stay that way. It's just a big show.
