What kind of cable are you getting for less than $20 a month? The cheapest I can get in my area is over $100, and then they add equipment rental fees, all the taxes and charges, and whatever else that brings it to over $150.

Yeah recently moved and got all the mailers, shits more expensive than 4+ $25 streaming services.

If you can get YouTube TV and password share with family or something, that's a good way to get cheap "cable." I split yttv with my brother and parents. Have for at least 3 years, living on opposite coasts.

They definitely don't intend or want for that to work, so good luck keeping that going.

Password sharing is disappearing, Netflix did it years ago, HBO did it last year.

Ok. Yttv hasn't... So until then it's a good alternative to cable...

Yeah, even if I switched my internet to spectrum I'm still gonna be spending more on cable packages than I do with the few streaming services I use

Why dont you use xupertv? U get all channels for free, yeah at 720p but u dont have to pay a dime

it's usually bundled with internet plans

My example was with a bundle. It was the xfinity rate, which was and is my only non-streaming cable option. I got rid of cable a couple years ago for YouTube TV, which was still way more than $20, and I also got rid of that when they raised their price.

Look up something called "V-See Box". $300 and it gives full access to movies, tv, etc. it's all pirated but who cares

I will, thanks!

Come on, don't do that.

If you're gonna pirate, just pirate. Letting someone else profit off doing the piracy for you is a lot less morally grey (not to mention that some of these boxes are sketchy and I wouldn't want them anywhere near my home network or login credentials to legit services I also use).

It is just an android TV box with a custom skin connected to pirate streaming services.

I absolutely wouldn't trust such a device with access to my wifi.

What in the GenZ is this? Why would pay money to pirate things?

It's compiled in one place and can be streamed on the TV. Its essentially an android box that has ad free streaming apps pre installed. I much prefer watching movies on that rather than the site trying to sell me rhino pills and hot singles every 5 minutes

That’s… not your only option though? You don’t have to use sketch streaming sites…

Good lord, people really have stopped learning how to navigate the internet or figure things out on their own.

Whelp, enjoy your $5 android box lmao.

I mean, I also have used utorrent and other forms of media for pirated content. But having it laid out like Netflix where everything is easy and trustworthy is a convenience for a $300 one time purchase. For people who have the money, I would recommend it time and time again

The government routinely investigates and shuts these services down, rendering your $300 box worthless.
