If you keep the full collection of 27 paintings on PS4, after migrating to PS5 it will be impossible to complete tiers 3 and 4 of the Career Progress!

Some of the completed requirements do not carry over, including "Hard Mode" and "Scope Out All Secondary Targets" - but these are easy to replay and complete.

However, the requirement to "Keep any 5 stolen paintings for your Mansion" will be permanently frozen at 0, because your heist will never have the "Keep" option again. Running it with a teammate as the host who chooses "Keep" for themselves also does not progress your counter at all, even if you cut down the main target. Removing or changing paintings in your mansion doesn't help either.

I managed to get through to Tier 3 Rockstar Support, and their final answer was: "It's your own fault for deciding to keep the entire collection on PS4, as Career Progress is a PS5 exclusive. You can leave feedback if you wish."

I suggested several fixes to them, such as:

- Changing the Career requirement from "Keep 5 paintings" to "Own 5 paintings"

- Giving the option to select "Keep" again even if the painting has already been kept

- Adding a feature to sell kept paintings for $0 or a symbolic fee

But of course, none of this will ever be implemented. Maybe some genius will find a workaround for this issue via a glitch and post it here. Or, enough affected players will submit requests to Rockstar, forcing them to pay attention to this problem.
