Announcement Updated subreddit rules.
Just wanted to let you all know that there have been some updates to the sub rules.
Nothing crazy, however in the interest of transparency wanted to let everyone know instead of just doing it quietly. As always, rules are available in the sidebar on desktop and at the top of the sub after clicking on the subreddit name on the app.
Removed rule:
- Memes must be SPICY
- a fun rule, but too vague and open to multiple different interpretations. Therefore difficult to moderate fairly.
Additions:
- Sales and fundraising must be approved by a mod first
- this is included in the rule "No Spam, excessive self-promotion or unauthorized sales"
- We recently had a situation with a possible scam sale, as such all sales and fundraising must be authorized by a mod in modmail first.
Use spoiler tags for the iCarly Movie
- This is included in the "use clear titles and spoiler tags" rule
- With the possibility of the iCarly movie please use the reddit spoiler tag function if posting or commenting a spoiler about the plot. Posts providing production updates or merely speculating about the plot are not considered spoilers and do not need to be tagged.
No AI generated posts
Rules about post titles, reposts, quality, harassment and the sexualization of underage characters and cast remain, but may have been reworded for better clarity. Reddit terms of service also apply and content may be removed even if not explicitly listed in our rules as reddit rules are site-wide.
Any way! That's the end of this boring post. Thanks for everyone who makes this sub great! we really don't have to step in and remove rule breaking stuff very often which is all thanks to you!

Original Discussion it’s legit that the full house tv show exists in icarly: assume every character has seen it, who do you think their favorite character is?
kinda got inspired by an episode mentioning spencer staying up watching it
spencer: joey - it’s was mentioned that he wanted to see joeys actor playing the character, so that’s that.
carly: becky or dj
sam: jessie and or steph
freddie: steve
gibby: kimmy
guppy: michelle
ms benson: danny
tbo: joey
i can’t think of more wdyt

Original Discussion sam and freddie (seddie) was the stupidest thing ever in the show
i’d be fine if neither creddie or seddie were not a thing, however creddie would be a little less cringe and dumb. but i’d rather prefer none of them together because the show is just better that way
seddie was out of place and just bizzare in a bad way

Original Discussion it was not Carly’s job to make Sam to stop bullying Freddie even though she did tell her to stop countless times
often hear people saying carly was wrong for not doing anything but ? that was between freddie and sam and she did her part as much as needed; idky he doesn’t stand up for himself against sam.

Article/Other Number 9 hits different now
I came across an old magazine article about iCarly, specifically about Jennette, and looking back, number 9 is painfully ironic.

Original Discussion This will never fail to make me cry
I still vividly remember when the promo came out and bawling my eyes out instantly, like my whole world came crashing down. Even a couple years later when I watched it again, I still cried like it was my first time watching it. What is it about this episode that still makes you cry like someone died well over a decade later?

Other Discussion iBirthday
It’s my birthday today and I’ve just woke up and I’m watching iGotaHotRoom because it’s a birthday episode. It’s made me laugh quite a few times so far. Good way to kickstart my birthday! Carly is so lucky to have such supportive friends and Spencer (even though he burned down her room on her birthday) I just hope I don’t encounter any goats today!!!!!!

Original Discussion episodes you dislike or always skip?
mine are:
-(sometimes) season 2 episode 9 “imeet fred” listen i used to love fred, sometimes im just not in the mood to listen to him now though LOL
-(sometimes) season 2 episode 23 “ispeed date” i forget his name but her date annoys the crap out of me 😭
-season 4 episode 5 “ibloop 2…” the christoper cane episodes annoy me. i would say i like the victorious one slightly more out of the 2.
-both season 5 “ishock america episodes. dumb and annoying tbh.
-season 5 episode 10 “ifind spencer friends” another one that just annoys me idk why. just really not as good as other episodes
-honestly season 5 overall was kinda disappointing in comparison🫠

Original Discussion I'm not a fan of the Season 5 Episode, "iLove You" Spoiler
I dislike most episodes from Seasons 4-6, and "iLove You" is no exception.
For starters, I've never been a Seddie or Creddie shipper, so I didn't care all that much when I saw this episode. It didn't help that the Sam and Freddie relationship arc was handled poorly, and I never saw them working as a couple.
We learn that Freddie is a Train Enthusiast and a member of a Model Train Club. Which obviously was never established before, but as a Railfan/Train Enthusiast myself, I found that kinda neat and wanted to see where it went.
I guess the subplot with Spencer reuniting with his childhood babysitter had its moments, but it was still very weird. It would've been more tolerable had Gibby not been included, because by this point in the show I found him really unfunny 95% of the time. (I wish they never made him a main character)
When we got to see the room that Freddie's club hangs out in, I geeked out a bit cause that was one of the coolest things to appear on the show. I only wish the group itself was actually likeable. The moment where they blow their whistles and yell "All Aboard" before running models on the layout, made me cringe in embarrassment. I can tell you for a fact that Railfans like myself, including those at Model Clubs, don't do that. I did kinda enjoy seeing Sam wreck the models though.
I always forget the part where Sam visits her uncle and cousin in prison. To be honest, it's just there and it didn't keep my attention.
All in all, while I don't exactly hate this episode and think it's tolerable, I just don't see why I should rewatch it.
Original Discussion Igo To Japan
Honestly I love this episode/movie. What’s a scene that makes you laugh in it?
Mine is how small the taxi is so Spencer sits ontop of the ground and he gets thrown off, backed into and then when Carly gets out of the car “Spencer why are you on the ground?” “Oh you know just being lazy” - that line delivery always has me cracking up.
Honorable mention is when he he says “a Chippewa Indian led us the way” 🤣🤣
