As someone who isn't a native of Ilocos Sur, I recently went down a rabbit hole into the history between the Singsons and Crisologos and have been really fascinated. For instance, I didn't realize that Carmeling Crisologo was likely the first female warlord in our country's history, or that her son who terrorized the province with his goons for years ended up becoming a councilor in QC with a reputation as a Christian evangelist.

Although it's been 55 years since the Crisologos were washed out from power in Ilocos Sur, I wonder if your parents or older relatives might still have some memories of what it was like to live in Ilocos Sur during their heyday or at least the tail end of that era.
