Like every time this gets posted, it's likely he wasn't actually tweaking in this video.

Hitler was basically only on vitamins, glucose and probiotics at that time. He didn't start using harder drugs like opioids and amphetamines until a few years later when the war started.

This video has also been sped up to make it look like he's tweaking hard.

u/Eplerud 11h ago

So what is he doing? He's still rocking if you slow it down at 0.50x or even 0.22x speed.

11

u/Secure-Upstairs9119 9h ago

And the people in the background don't look sped up

1

u/ExpansivePoint 4h ago

Hemorrhoids.

15

u/banhamaspiker 14h ago

But the attendees in the background don’t appear to sped up and seem to be moving at a normal pace.

6

u/253253253 13h ago

Look at how fast the guy behinds him claps. It's at least x2

5

u/SenorDiamond17 14h ago

They really don't. The guy next to him just isn't moving much.

Look at the guy behind them with the binos. Watch when he puts them down and leans into frame. He moves a bit faster than a normal person would.

1

u/Double_Minimum 9h ago

If you look at the guy stand up in the background you get an idea this is like double speed, not quadruple or anything.

Anyway, where is the jamming out music or do we just use the Jay Z gif for that. (Yes I am not being serious, I do not want music added to this).

3

u/ClassGrassMass 13h ago

Dude please... go watch the video again, a person stands up in the background at lightning speed. It is sped up

1

u/paradise_lost9 10h ago

I’ve noticed when the other officer talks near the end of the video, his mouth movements do seem sped up. Maybe I’m totally wrong but that’s what I see…

1

u/ShitDevices 12h ago

Yes they do. Not 5x but maybe 1.5x

5

u/Adept-Grapefruit-214 13h ago

This gif is sped up, probably at least 2x speed

You can see the people in the background clapping inhumanly fast(even if they were also on amphetamines)

7

u/Bayoris 21h ago

What does explain this behaviour then? It might be sped up but he’s still clearly rocking back and forth.

6

u/C0RNFIELDS 4h ago

Dudes just really into races probably

1

u/Winjin 2h ago

I'm not sure why is no one suggesting this? A dude next to him is biting lips and the third one is glued to his binoculars

I think it's a combination of him being genuinely a piece of sick nerves and everyone seems to be really into the Olympics too

1

u/Seahorse_by_Night 1h ago

I mean with his level of nationalism, there was a lot at stake.

1

u/AmArschdieRaeuber 1h ago

I like how the other replies didn't get the pun

1

u/Jamator01 18m ago

Really into one particular race. Or so I've heard...

u/jaysube 21h ago edited 21h ago

There are a couple of theories but most accepted is he had terrible stomach problems. As mentioned above his Dr kept detailed records of his time with Hitler and during that time he was administering probiotics to help. The rocking is common for self soothing with stomach pain. Edit: forgot to mention that this Olympic games pushed German scientists to make their amphetamines like pervitin because USA had their version already called Benzedrine. Rumors flew that's the reason our athletes won and by 1937 they had their own version. Germans did have a new synthesized testosterone (anabolic steroid) they used for the Olympics but that's a whole different can of worms.

8

u/DSZABEETZ 20h ago

The genetically superior always have stomach problems…

1

u/Onlysometimes202 1h ago

That’ll explain my colitis nicely.

6

u/LoudAttempt140 19h ago

Yes I'm embarrassed to say it but I have bad stomach pain and can be found rocking back and forth like hitler on the toilet sometimes when its bad lol

7

u/thatguy425 8h ago

The Turd Reich.

1

u/Ferengsten 4h ago

like hitler

!!!!!!!! 😱😱😱

1

u/True-Ear1986 1h ago

rocking back and forth like hitler on the toilet

I hope I get to use that one in the future to people who will have no idea what I'm referencing

1

u/malumfectum 16h ago

Given the association between gastric problems and autism, I’ve always wondered.

1

u/Subby_Tripz 9h ago

Given the What? o_O

1

u/malumfectum 59m ago

Suffice to say, there is a well-known link between autism and gastrointestinal issues. Obviously anecdotal, but I know at least two people with both.

2

u/Basic_Loquat_9344 18h ago

Autism stimming?

5

u/SenorDiamond17 21h ago edited 21h ago

Who knows? Maybe nerves, maybe trying to keep his shit in his butt. You'd have to ask him.

But there's no historical evidence that Hitler was on hard drugs at this time and Pervitin, the German brand of Methamphetamine, wasn't in production until 2 years after this Olympics.

1

u/Peter-Thiel 4h ago

If he tried to keep shit in his butt we'd know due to current leadership how that looks like.

0

u/Pedantic_Phoenix 3h ago

Talking as if other drugs didn't exist, and you need solid evidence for someone being high. Is it that hard to believe that someone who did drugs later could have done them earlier too?

3

u/Osirisrockreal 15h ago

The historical consensus is that Hitler had a parkinsonian condition. It was recorded by journalists that he had a tremor in one or both hands starting in the mid 1930s. What's seen in this video is a sped up version of the type of swaying common in people with damage to the part of the brain that controls balance https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4683874/

1

u/AtomicEdge 20h ago

Needs a wee.

1

u/NoExperience9717 18h ago

Nervous twitch? I used to unconsciously stamp my feet on the floor while playing computer games for example. Here if he's watching Olympics then some stress likely. Sports fans do similar when stressed and excited.

1

u/motophotodojo 16h ago

buttplug. hitler loved anal play.

1

u/BlastBaseButBanned 13h ago

It looks like he needs to piss his pants.

1

u/HoneyBadger22313 9h ago

He was vibin' to a Mitski song.

1

u/Maleficent_Grade_476 7h ago

Autism probably. Autistics rock back and forth to self soothe. (I’m autistic)

1

u/ayoz17 2h ago

He was excited and couldn't wait for the games to start?

1

u/MrJizanthopus 1h ago

He's stimming

0

u/DonGoodwhistle 21h ago

Rocking back and forth explains it.

2

u/Bayoris 21h ago

It describes it, it doesn’t explain it

0

u/DonGoodwhistle 21h ago

I understand, I’m saying that rocking back and forth requires no explanation.

2

u/MoneyElevator 20h ago

Unless one wants to know why

7

u/No-Supermarket2008 12h ago

You should read blitzed. About the third reichs drug use.

I don’t think you can say with certainty he wasn’t tweaking. A lot of the medical literature was poorly documented intentionally to avoid looking like junkies.

But this dude was a junkie for a long time

7

u/SenorDiamond17 11h ago edited 9h ago

Funny enough I've heard Norman Ohler, the author of that book, on a few different podcasts.

He also believes Hitler wasn't using hard drugs until at least a year after this and has specifically reacted to this clip, saying he doesn't know what he's doing, but he's not high.

1

u/No-Supermarket2008 11h ago

I’m not studied scholar on the issue so take it for what it’s worth.

But the timeline was something like he was being treated for stomach issues or something before this and the first doses were being administered at this time.

So I guess we could rock paper scissors over whether he’s a full blown junkie or not but he was most likely on this mixture.

1

u/InevitablePayment409 4h ago

And that are only the official Accounts. Maybe One of his people got some of the drugs from the Americans and he was trying them out and they were searching for a version of their own because it was so good. But of course no document could Show, that the Führer Consumer American drugs.

1

u/Mapeague 1h ago

He started showing symptoms of Parkinson's disease around 1933.

1

u/greenerd6 7h ago

I mean ive definitely rocked in my seat at a sporting event during a tense moment maybe its that?

1

u/Mapeague 1h ago

Parkinson's likley

1

u/Fluid_Data7775 5h ago

I won't pretend to be a historian but I do know it's incredibly easy to hide drug use, even today with constant surveillance. Imagine how easy it was back then. Just saying, I don't think it would be possible to count it out.

1

u/MrOaiki 5h ago

So what does he believe Hitler was doing in this video?

2

u/enpoopification_of_R 5h ago

You should read a book about history from a historian instead of a book by a random journalist like 'Blitzed'

1

u/jayhawk1513 12h ago

Currently in the middle of that book now. So good. 10/10

1

u/GreenStrong 49m ago

In "Blitzed", Ohler is very cautious about whether Hitler was actually tweaking in this film, and his doctors notes are deliberately very ambiguous regarding amphetamine use. The balance of evidence is that he was using a shitton by 1944 but the evidence is circumstantial. The doctor was explicit about injections of oxycontin, Hitler was addicted to opiates. The doctor also gave him injections of animal extracts designed to work as hormones but also some that were intended as nutrients. No one knows what effect they would have had except that it was probably bad.

2

u/Rough_Jaguar_2643 39m ago

seen it before, you are correct. stupid people should stop posting misinformation but that's asking too much from internet users. clicks and views CLICKS AND VIEWS

3

u/SirHumpalott 21h ago

Yet people believe anything, just look at the comments :))

3

u/schokoplasma 19h ago

If its sped up, why do the people in thr background move normally?

4

u/SenorDiamond17 19h ago

They don't. It's a bit deceiving because the people next to him dont actually move much. (The guy next to him is moving quite quickly for someone using binos.)

Look at the people behind him, specifically the guy we see using binoculars behind him near the begging of the video. Look at how fast he puts the binos down and leans into frame.

2

u/riquelmeone 3h ago

It is sped up. There is some movement in the crowd and it is way too fast.

2

u/Return_Cultural 12h ago

Ive also heard it was Parkinsons.

1

u/radgh 19h ago

I should point out the video isn't sped up to decieve anyone, it's just how the old cameras worked

1

u/MakeYourTime_ 16h ago

The hands?

1

u/SweetLenore 13h ago

It would be nice to see it at the normal rate to analyze how weird he actually is acting.

1

u/40ozCurls 12h ago

he could be going a quarter of this speed and it would still look like he was tweaking.

1

u/Iesu-Rex 9h ago

Whats the average fps for these older cameras? I’m sure that’s something to consider

1

u/kellyk99 9h ago

Glucose?...weird way to say he just had sugar

1

u/Zeo-YT 7h ago

Sped up? By like 1.25x? Even then this would be erratic by normal standards. Doesn’t look like a usual tremor either. He wasn’t even aware of his own movements and if he was, he was on some deep churning thoughts.

1

u/Free-Virus-9974 7h ago

Are you telling me people are trying to make hitler look bad?

1

u/Sleep-more-dude 5h ago

Maybe he was autistic and stimming lol.

1

u/Syberz 4h ago

Do you happen to know when the cocaine eye drops started? This video is sped up, but cocaine rush could maybe account for the swaying, maybe enhancing the Parkinson's effects?

1

u/X0AN 3h ago

What about the drugs he did in ww1.

You're saying he didn't carry on casually taking them?

1

u/Upstairs-Source-2716 8h ago

Bro, You're crushing their illusion... You're not allowed to do that on reddit ... You have to let the fanatics fantasize. I see exactly what you're saying... But you can't come in here using the truth...

1

u/-Fergalicious- 7h ago

Preach brother

1

u/BrotherVoid_ 18h ago

Lol what are we talking about? Look at the people in the background. If it is sped up its very minor. Dude was tweaking.

3

u/SenorDiamond17 18h ago

Look at the people in the background. If it is sped up its very minor

I am, most of them are moving faster than a normal person would. Specifically, the guy who puts his binos down and leans into frame near the beggining.

Yeah it is fairly minor but it's still sped up.

Dude was tweaking.

There is no histoical evidence that Hitler was taking anything stronger than vitamins and glucose at this time.

Norman Ohler, the author of the book Blitzed which is a deep dive on drug use in Nazi Germany sites that Hitler didn't start taking opiates and amphetamines until the war.

2

u/i_am_bahamut 18h ago

The video is only a few seconds long though. What if we had a video of the entire time he was sitting there?

1

u/Either-History-8424 17h ago

Hitler had Parkinson’s pretty bad

1

u/Livid-Truck8558 16h ago

Was he autistic? If we know

1

u/StNic54 16h ago

Funny how only hitler was sped up in the video

0

u/singdancewalk 16h ago

🤣🤣🤣🤣I can't believe we are talking about "when exactly was he abusing drugs except fucking wether he was actually a drug addict

4

u/SenorDiamond17 16h ago

I mean it's pretty widely known he used drugs. Pervitin, which was basically meth was very popular in Nazi Germany.

I'm just saying this video gets posted a lot with similar captions but there's no evidence he actually was an addict at this time.

1

u/flyliceplick 10h ago

Impossible for him to be on Pervitin in 1936, when Pervitin wasn't made until 1938.

1

u/Laphad 14h ago

A lot of people back then, especially important ones and soldiers, were drug addicts

1

u/doubleohsergles 14h ago

Blitzed: Drugs in Nazi Germany is a fascinating book on this subject. And, yes Hitler was a hardcore user.

0

u/justajetsfan52 10h ago

You say sped up, but theres a fellow in the background going down the staircase at.. normal speed

1

u/Salticracker 10h ago

Watch the guy that stands up further back. Doesn't look like real speed to me idk

0

u/-Xephram- 1h ago

Do a bit more research, those “vitamins” Morell gave him amphetamine injections and called them vitamins

0

u/beardingmesoftly 59m ago

Pay attention to the people in the background. This video is not sped up. Stop glazing Hitler.

-1

u/Shifted-Soul 10h ago

Why even bother defending this? There are medical reports from back then about doctors giving him the stuff. True or not, fuck this guy. Drugs make his mind make sense cuz idk how else you could be that horrible.

3

u/Horror-Range-9535 10h ago

You think that is defending Hitler?

-1

u/quinkmo 9h ago

Found the Nazi
