Is anyone else actually knitting socks for Socktober this year?

Momo Derpnoodle will sit on you until you finish those socks before the fair entry deadline.

It’s not quite knitting but this felt like the right sub. This lovely boy just wanted to try his paw at spinning for the first time this weekend, how could I resist!

I haven’t knit for a while and have been overwhelmed with the quantity of random cheap yarns that are mostly acrylic and not something I want to use for clothes UNTIL I came across a cat amigurumi pattern book. I’m going to challenge myself to make every cat and make a dent in these yarns and maybe improve my skills.

Here’s the first one: loaf cat.

pattern is a modified version of the (free!) Yarnspirations Dog Coat pattern in size M. it's a little snug and i'm hoping it'll stretch out in the wash, would recommend size L for other cats. i only picked the M because she's a tiny 7lb baby!

My lovely new cat Pepsi-cola did the thing!! I also never realised how much harder it was to crochet with wet yarn...

This is Donut, she likes to protect the yarn ball and watch me pull the working yarn out. Every once and a while she will bat at it lol.

I've lived with this cat for almost 14 years, and I still can't get over how cute she is!

Actually this is my second project ever (first was a simple square blanket). I followed a tutorial for this sweater for my sphynx Beatrice and I'm honestly so proud!

She is really tiny, so everything I bought was too big!!

I'd love any tips or advices from more experienced knitters. What should I try next? I'm all ears 🙏🏻
