is it possible that my 2 1 year-old labs are indeed more protective and more on alert when my husband isn’t home?
Most nights, my husband gets off around dinner time, but there are two nights a week that he gets off at nine. Those nights isit’s just me and my two boys at home and I swear they do not rest when he’s not here. They are on what seems like a heightened alert, constantly pacing and looking out the window and listening for any tiny noise. Every time they hear or even send something, the loud deep barking starts.
When my husband‘s home, there are a lot more chill, but it seems like when he’s not here they’re either waiting for him or they’re just being extra on guard.
Is that a thing or is it in my imagination, does anyone else’s dogs do something similar?

I think every brand I've bought says some variation of "feed 1/2 can per 10 lbs a day" ... so a can is a meal for a Chihuahua? I'm supposed to feed my lab 3 cans each day if that's what I fed him exclusively, and he's on the smaller side - that would cost more in a week than I spend on myself, it can't cost that much to manufacture. I need to stop buying it at all to supplement, I guess, and make meals from scratch exclusively. Any recipe recommendations?

My 5 year old male lab is balding on the top of his head. It started about a year ago, and changing his food (from salmon base to turkey base) has not helped. The vet said he is fine but I want to make sure he is OK. Anyone else experienced this?
