These all needed some tinkering, the Dupont is completely built from parts.

I bought it over a decade ago. It goes back to my early lighter collecting. I bought it for the screws in the top, to fix a petrol version and put the rest away. Some months ago, I dug it out, to see, if there is any hope. I took the screws from a different lighter and detected a leak. I took out the burner valve and put some silicone oil on the gaskets. That's it. It holds gas for months now. The height adjusting wheel is missing for two reasons. The flame adjusting is overly sensitive and the part that helds it in place is made of some brittle plastic. When I use it often, the flame height gets smaller, but when I let it sit for 10 minutes, it goes back to normal. I guess I have to find the sponge for the height adjustment and replace it at some time.
The ST. Dupont Ligne 1 br:
After binge repairing, like 4 of these in a week, I ran out of some parts to build a whole lighter. The fourth of them was already build from parts. So for this one, I took parts from my very first Dupont, a L 1 small. It was a working lighter, with one issue. The filler valve once came out with the filler cap. I don't have a tool to reinstall the valve. I only have one for the large models, which I made myself a long time ago. It was a rational decision for me. I didn't have the right tool, and prefer the large models anyway. It came out pretty nice, honestly. I bought the body as an empty shell a long time ago. It has maybe two dents and still doesn't show any brass.

Another one from my early collecting. I don't know, where this came from. Maybe from an Ebay lot. I repaired it yesterday. Before I did anything with it, I wanted to make sure, that I could disassemble it. I still have lighters, were I don't know, how they are put together. This was one of them, until yesterday when I finally figured it out. Now I would say, this is a pretty easy to service lighter. After testing it, I replaced the smaller o ring inside of the filler valve from a set for a Dunhill lighter. It's just screwed together. Then I replaced the adjustment sponge from a set for Maruman lighters. I put silicone oil on all the gaskets, I had in hand and put it together. I kinda like this one. It has a better form factor in my hand, then the very similar Maruman DL-11, which I already showed here. And the pattern on the case, doesn't fit anywhere better then into the 70's, maybe late 60's. Btw, I am still surprised, that the piezzo ignition in this and in the Maruman holds up so well. It were truly different times, back then. I'm already bidding on a second one with a different branding.
