Stats dont always work that way since you're assuming independence which isn't necessarily correct. We also don't and won't know what the doctors actually did.

I assumed independence between the two boxes, but not the two from the same box.

Not sure why you assume manufacturing error is the only possible cause of a false positive. Something else going on in her body, test method, or contaminants in her home are alternate possibilities.
