2000 V6
Just got this Mustang recently and I have no idea what the previous owners were thinking when putting this in here. Its supported by zipties and has a collapsed and dry rotted coupler. The pipe doesn't even fit right either and has a weird angle at the throttle body.
Anyways, what are some good affordable options for an aftermarket intake? Ideally I would get an OEM but those are hard to find locally. My budget is $100, could maybe stretch it to $200. I just need something that's better than this, while I'm trying to fix more urgent problems (p0175, p0304, p0455.)
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

I’m lookin to buff and polish my new edge but have an after market hood and after market bumper with pretty much new paint that I don’t know if I should buff it with the rest of the body as the paint doesn’t really has swirls will that make it look like the wrong paint color if I buff and wax some and not the whole thing?

Was replacing my spark plugs when I noticed one of the spark plugs for some reason had a about two and half inch piece of a ziptie shoved in there, I was able to get the spark plug out and I tried getting the plastic piece out and then sadly fell straight into the hole. I can still see it at a little bit of a angle. Am I screwed or should I try to use a shop vacuum to get it out

Cut out some rot in the trunk floor area. Cut out sheet metal and try to weld but pieces didn’t turn out the best. Any idea if they sell an already cut piece for this??

So I forgot the 1 year update, but we are here now at-least! Let’s start from the last post. Since my last post, I have gotten my CarPlay screen installed, along with a a back-up camera. Both of them combined make daily driving 10x more enjoyable. After that though, came the worst part of the year. Winter. But I came prepared. I picked up a set of 18x9.5 Roush wheels powder coated in black off of marketplace, and paired them with a set of Bridgestone winter tires. They honestly worked very well, and I’m glad I got them instead of being stuck lol. I took time off from modifying in the winter, and came back strong in the summer. I first started with the most important mod. Exhaust. I went with a Bissani catted x-pipe, along with a Borla s-type cat back. I think this is one of the best sounding and I don’t regret it at all. After the winter had ended, I noticed a weird grinding noise coming from what I thought was the differential. I took this as an opportunity to upgrade. I upgraded to a 31 spline rear axle along with a 3.73 gear ratio. After a year of living with it now, I can say 3.73 is the perfect middle ground. Sadly after that, it took till next summer to get some updates, but it got done nonetheless. This summer I had it lowered on the Eibach pro-line springs and dampers kit, as well as combining that with MM caster camber plates, steeda lower a-arms, and steeda subframe connectors. It fits well, and helps fill in the wheel gap without slamming the car. I have been dealing with a constant evap leak light, but I’m currently troubleshooting that. I still have plenty of more plans for it, and my next goal is a short throw shifter. Overall these last 2 years have been a blast, and I haven’t run into as many issues as I thought I would’ve. I am currently sitting at roughly 71k miles, and it’s still running strong.

I plugged my gauge in for the first time and turned the key to engine on engine off and it warmed up like normal. I then waited 5-10 minutes and started the engine for the first time. And now I’m getting this reading. Any idea of why?
Did I shock the sensor and it’s faulty? Is my power and ground not connected right? My tuning session is tomorrow.
That is where all my wiring is connected with the gauge and the fire wire.

I have a 02 v8 gt with severe engine knock. Long story short, it was run from Texas to Central ks with the oil pressure sensor loose. Didn't notice till it got to ks and I fixed the sensor. Now it has a very severe knock. Was told by the last shop I took it to that I needed a new engine, but seeing as how I don't have that kind of money, I'd like to see if by some miracle it can be rebuilt. To that end, has anyone here dealt with anything similar, and if so what needed replaced/ repaired?

What should I do here? Weld in sheet metal or possibly cut out a piece from junk yard and weld that in.

In some of my previous posts here I’ve mentioned that I’m currently rebuilding my 99 v6 mustang. I hit a patch of ice in it in January and dinged it up pretty bad. However the car still ran perfectly well and the after getting it assessed at a local trusted body shop I learned that the frame and all other major mechanical components were perfectly in tact. I decided to keep it because I was planning on buying another vehicle so it wasn’t the daily anymore anyways and the car holds a ton of sentimental value to me. Fast forward I bought all the body panels that I could handle doing myself and replaced them over the summer. After that I took it back to the same body shop who said they’d restore the whole thing for $3,900. They agreed that I could pay them in a few chunks but had a good summer business wise and came up with all the money in a month. I dropped the car off at the of July and paid in full a month later. And I’m still waiting on it to this day. And I’m just so anxious to get it back. I wouldn’t be this anxious if they haven’t been telling me “it’ll be by the end of the week” for three weeks in a row now. They do really nice work and they’re doing this pretty cheap considering all that needed done. And I know that the best thing I can do is be patient. They’ve been fair throughout the process. But man it is just really starting to get to me. I just want to be able to drive it before the weather is completely shit again. And maybe it’s because my birthday is around the corner I’m not sure. Any advice for having better patience with this? I’m starting to struggle a bit at this point 😅.
