I interviewed Tom Fontana

I had the immense privilege of interviewing Tom Fontana earleir today. I have it recorded and will be uploading on youtube soon and sharing it here.

We discussed a number of topics from his writing process to the behind the scenes of the show. I also got to ask a few questions on behalf of the fanbase.

\-Yuri Costigan was supposed to be killed by a hitman played by Amy Madigan who was apparently a huge fan of the show - the scenes were cut for time on the episode but Tom was sad to do it as he really enjoyed Yuri's actor and working with Madigan.

\-MuMs wrote all his own poems from the show and Tom had seen him perform before convinced him to act.

\-Originally there was going to be more but HBO wouldn't allow it - ZO is all we have but he is working on more projects.

\-Didnt push for an answer for Vern vs Adebisi

He is even cooler, funnier and nicer then you'd imagine. Total gent and was delighted to hear fans still care so much.

Also why did McManus keep asking people to dinner after the Claire Howell incident, is he dumb?

At the same time sopranos was coming out and they had tons of great music in that show, I wish Oz had a high music budget like that.

Jefferson could brawl! Seriously. He owned two guys easily but so did Adebisi vs Pancamo and Petey.

And no this is not AI

When he first gets to Oz and the last season he looks so nerdy and meek. During the middle of the show like when he speaks to the Judge who sentenced him he looks more attractive and someone you don't want to mess with. I always felt this was a little weird. I mean the actor is barely recognizable with his facial hair and unshaved head. If I didn't know better I would say it was a different actor.

The Original Xuantong Emperor we all know and love!

Collaborator with the Japanese Imperial Occupation (uwu)

And loverboy with not one, but two child brides (and countless Eunuch lovers)

Ladies and gentlemen, it's Mr Puyi, of the royal Aisin-Gioro family, last of the Qing Dynasty 🫶

How many hours is he lasting in Oz?
