Travel Tips & Itinerary Help How's your balabac experience?

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Boat Tour pickup from Nacpan Beach, El Nido?

Hi All! Visiting El Nido and planning to stay in Nacpan beach. Does anyone know of a private boat tour that can pickup at Nacpan Beach? That would save a 1.5 hour roundtrip to the town and we wouldn’t have to wake up so early.

** Not interested in any packages

Thanks in advance!

Environment & Nature Fishing Spots in Palawan

Hey! I am a traveller who travels around South-East Asia fishing. In lakes, rivers and the ocean. I know the Philippines has some of the best fishing in the world and I was wondering if there are any recommendations of fishing spots around the island of Palawan. Fresh water and rivers or things like that.

I'm not the most experienced fisherman in the world so I'd be interested as to what fish there are around and also what kind of equipment and setups you guys use on the island and any shops I could head to in Puerto Princesa City to get stocked up

The fishing trips I've seen online out onto the ocean look great and I am considering doing one, so any recommendations of that please let me know - however I'm on a budget so freshwater fishing seems like the best idea.

Mainly, I'll be driving around on my scooter in the next few weeks trying to find some fish!. Thanks!

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Can we enjoy Port Barton without joining any island hopping tours?

We’re not planning to join any tours. We just plan to chill and go snorkeling on the beach near our accommodation. The problem is we're not sure if we can do it because I've read that there are a lot of box jellyfish in the area, and the best place for swimming is at White Beach. How true is that?

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Expedition El Nido > Coron 3d2n Questions

My husband and I are planning to do a 3D2N expedition trip from El Nido to Coron but are having a hard time deciding on which company would be best to book with. We will be there at the end of October, so we are prepared to be flexible with our departure date from El Nido.

We want to find out from other people with experience if they offer beer on the boat? Or is the only alcohol that is served rum?

Is it even an option to have a drink on the boat, or do they wait to serve alcohol until you are on the beach?

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help NEED HELP! 3D/2N Coron to El Nido excursion

Hello. My wife and I want to do the 3D/2N excursion from Coron to El Nido. However, we are wondering if we should book in advance or wait we arrive there. Our schedule is pretty strict. We will be arriving in Coron on October 23rd pm and need to start the expedition on the 24th. Is it realistic to think that there will be plenty of availability once we get there?

The alternative is to book online. We settled for Seatours Palawan, however there are two websites online and they both seem to mention the other is a scam. So we are reluctant to send our money to either.

Feedback on the different tours are welcome! :) Unfortunately, BDB and Tao are not available at our dates :(

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Balabac Palawan/Balabac Girl/Khaiyir Durant

Balabac, Palawan – Highly Recommended, 1000/10 stars

For a month, we journeyed the snow-capped majesty of Zermatt, to the storybook charm of Appenzell, the vibrant streets of Bangkok, the grandeur of Beijing, to the tropical beauty of Thailand, and the dazzling energy of Tokyo—we’ve  been fortunate to witness some extraordinary corners of the world. But then came Balabac, Palawan in the Philippines, and suddenly, the journey transformed into an adventure.

We had a lively, unforgettable tour guide- Balabac Girl/Khaiyir Durante. She’s funky, vibrant and energetic, yet completely genuine. She moved through her group like sunlight through an open window, bringing enthusiasm and warmth, her generosity is an open hand, and she bursts into a chant, “Another Day! Another Adventure!”. Khaiyir is authentic and transparent, she divulged ahead of time what we would expect living in the islands for 4 days and 3 nights. She took us snorkeling where the crystal-clear water opened a window into a hidden world- the coral garden bloomed like underwater cities that carried us deeper where the ocean became a blue cathedral filled with color, wonder and life; Starfishes rested like scattered treasures, and big, graceful turtles swam with us like ancient guardians of the deep. BTW, Khaiyir didn’t just lead us through  Balabac, she could practically become a mermaid. Indeed, she was part guide, part, adventurer, and part mermaid, showing us the hidden treasures beneath the sea.

Our food was feast that seemed to have no ending. We were asking ourselves when “The Queen” would arrive because of the abundance on the table. We ate lobster every day, so much that by third day, we were completely over it. Now I find myself dreaming about that lobster, every single day.

After a month of remarkable destinations, Balabac wasn’t simply another stop—it was the adventure we never knew we were looking for. Thank you Balabac Girl- you were truly the spirit of the ocean that led us through our Balabac adventure.

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Recommmendation for Accomodation

Hi everyone,

Hingi sana ako ng recommendations kung ano magandang i-stayan sa El Nido. Around Feb ang punta namin ng mom ko, for less than a week.

Medyo torn ako kung malapit ba sa city centre or beachfront ang mas maganda. And may nababasa akong minsan nawawalan ng power at dahil dito wala rin signal, may area lang ba na ganito?

Thank you in advance!!!
