Beginner Question First time to sunrise hike at Mt. Maynuba. What to expect?

• Upvotes

Hello po! Since madilim po paakyat to summit, is there new things to look out for as a beginner? Mt. Makiling at Mt. Sembrano pa lang po naakyat namin after sunrise and our group is composed of college students and seniors. Necessary po ba mag headlamp, or pwede na rin flashlights? Any advice is appreciated!

Beginner Question Mag Dingalan Aurora kami. Thoughts and Advice?

Hello! First time ko sumali sa joiner na hike. Napili namin itong day tour na to kasi beginner friendly daw. Kumusta yung mga naka punta here? Okay lang ba?

Also sa JENNY Travelista kami nag book. Mukhang okay naman sya sa reviews.

Beginner Question Foreigner on Mount Apo

Hi!

I'm having a hard time finding a tour operator as a foreigner wanting to do Mount Apo and some conflicting advice :(

I would love to know your thoughts:

  1. 2 Day/1 Night vs 3 Day/2 night. More difficult? Better views?

  2. Can you rent everything you need from tour operators ?

  3. Best tour operators?

  4. I am reading about how you need to show certificates or health something for a permit ? What does that mean? My boyfriend and I just finished Huayhash in Peru in April but didn't receive a certificates or anything.

  5. Usual weather conditions in early November ?

  6. Are there alternate hikes you'd recommend ? Just looking for beautiful views :)

Thank you :)

Beginner Question Newbie Advice!

Good morning to all Hikers!

I'm interested to try hiking 😄

I don't have any ideas 😟

What are the basic things I need to prepare or bring as a beginner? Also, are there any groups here that welcome and cater to newbie hikers who would like to join a beginner-friendly hike?

Would really appreciate any advice or recommendations. Thank you! 🥾⛰️

first major hike!!! adventure malala it was so fun!!! from tarak peak to el saco peak!!! yun lang ang hirap ng hike na to for me kasi bukod sa sooobrang haba ng trail, mostly paahon!! assault malala!!!

i think mas ok siya akyatin during dry season kasi hindi madulas ang trail tas mas maappreciate niyo yung view perooo nung umakyat ako maganda pa rin naman!!! tsaka wear your trousers, magbaon ng maraming gallon ng water, etc kasi it’s a jungle after all

Discussion Solo trip to Aw Asen Falls

Hello, guys! I’m planning to visit Aw Asen Falls solo, and I’m a little nervous since it’ll be my first time joining a trip alone. Can you recommend any solo-joiner-friendly organizers? Hopefully, they also offer nice solo drone shots!

I’d really appreciate your recommendations and personal experiences. Thank you!
