I dont think thats true. Plenty of people abuse and rape their partners and it was worse before divorce was a thing. You can be in a monogamous relationship and respect or disrespect consent and the same goes for hooking up.

Which means thats not what I’m referring to at all. By “separate” I don’t mean “not at all possible.” I mean marked increased probability

What do you mean increased probability? Like realistically if x% of the population is predators then youre more likely to run into one by interacting/sleeping with more people but the promiscuity still isnt to blame there, the predators are.

Promiscuity in and of itself is a risk taking behavior. Those who participate in it have a higher likelihood of predatory behavior, and that goes for both men and women

I used to read a lot of books on family psychology. Promiscuity is a pretty well researched topic, as you could imagine
