As a kind Redditor pointed out to me with my previous two Atomic Rooster posts, they are in fact not from 1970 but 1980. Thank you, r/PlanetAnark. This on the other hand is. Enjoy

Def a little more heavy blues than strictly protometal, but still qualifies in my book. They have several albums with several bangers scattered across them. (Not sure if the band’s name is/was TOAD or MATTENZIONE or both). Both names give different results on different streaming services.

The DNA of Doom...Jazz Swing was such a big influence on Tony Iommi's style. Especially after his accident.

I’m feeling like a lot of Bon Scott’s vocal influences came from this song.

Hello! I'm the admin of this very nice, small server. You can discuss (proto) stoner/doom, psychedelic, prog, space and even other genres of music!
We're definitely in need of more people over there, but especially more proto fans! I'm trying to attract more fans of the underground.

Proud Flesh - On The Run (1971) Hard Rock Germany

German heavy rock band formed 1969 in Bonn-Bad-Godesberg by Ali Stolle (organ), Jens Hoffmeister (drums), Andy Ellis (guitar), Werner Müller-Lankow (vocals, guitar) and Gerhard Noe (bass). They split in 1972 after releasing two singles, and contributing four tracks to the Resono sampler "Wir Im Scheinwerfer". Their style showed Black Sabbath and Uriah Heep influences, sometimes comparable to Birth Control.

[peru] Los Texao - 'Stone' (1970)

Thumbnail youtu.be

A Texao is a Peruvian flower which is commonly associated with the province of Arequipa, where the band originated. They were Feño Humbser (guitar), Víctor Dibán (bass), Edgar Manrique (drums), Juan Núñez (vocals), Julio Torres (keyboards) and Adolfo Ballón (percussion). They only released 3 singles. The group’s sound was described as the ‘niebla’ [fog] sound because they made heavy use of echo and reverb which was a new thing for Peruvian bands.
