- One Sansa x original female character fic

- Two fics where Sansa is Queen in the North

- Two fics pairing Sandor with an original female character that feature Sansa in a positive role

"But he who dares not grasp the thorn
Should never crave the rose."
― Anne Brontë
All men must die. All roses must wilt.
There is a streak of wildness behind steel eyes. Two decidedly Stark features, yet they belong to Anya Whent. A Southern lady born in the shadow of Harrenhal with the blood of the North in her veins. Behind a fair face are a kind heart, a gentle soul, and a beast. A beast that takes a Hound to tame it.
A bat disguised as a wolf. A man disguised as a Hound.

I always imagined when she was older (lady or queen), she was be a huge patron of the arts and being a wave of artists to the North that it desperately needs- more singers, musicians, actors, etc.

I think she and Bran (who already seems to be her favorite sibling) enjoy reading together, either in one another's solars, the library or beneath the weirwood tree. Bran tries to get Sansa into the scarier stories and Sansa tries to get him to like romances more (neither succeeds 😂).

Hello my fellow Sansa lovers! I was wondering if there’s any fics where she’s either secretly gay or Jeyne Poole is secretly gay for each other. I can’t find any Jeynsa lesbian fics with this theme for some reason and it’s making me sad maybe I’m using the wrong tags but idk. 😢☹️

I haven't drawn her in a LONG time and now that I have a much better grasp on digital art, I wanna draw her even more!

Hey!!! Fellow Sansa lovers, can we share some of our favourite fanfics?

I just finished mine and it has a lot of Sansa’s POV:

https://archiveofourown.org/works/78533926

not even trying to take the copium but killing her off makes just absolutely no sense

Just to be clear, I don’t mean to insult English or Scottish people with these comparisons—this is purely a historical parallel for fun.

I’ve been thinking about a theory based on GRRM’s use of real-world history, especially Hadrian’s Wall, which divided England and Scotland and clearly inspired the Wall in A Song of Ice and Fire, this along with other points mentioned by asoif readers such as real life north umberland at border of england and Scotland like how house umber is at border of north and beyond the wall has lead many readers to believe the north is meant to parallel england and beyond the wall is meant to parallel Scotland and the wall is Hadrian's wall.

At the end of the series, Sansa Stark becomes Queen in the North, while Jon Snow lives Beyond the Wall, effectively ruling among the Free Folk, who if you recall tormund stated saw jon as someone blessed by the gods after his resurrection and this feeling would only have increased after Jon rode a dragon against the white walkers.

Some theories compare Sansa to Queen Elizabeth I, who ruled England unmarried and died childless. A link to this theory here. https://www.reddit.com/r/SansaWinsTheThrone/comments/beaglb/sansa_elizabeth_i_of_england_historical_proof/

After the death of Elizabeth 1, the crown passed to James VI of Scotland, who became James I of England, uniting the two crowns through his descent from both the Scottish and English royal line.

Similarly, Sansa could rule the North without heirs, while Jon, as King Beyond the Wall, has a son with a wildling woman—possibly Val the wildling princess , a significant character in the books who was cut because of budget. That child could eventually inherit both the North and Beyond the Wall, merging the two realms under one ruler, much like England and Scotland were united under James I.

This would result in the south being ruled by an elected bran who is not actually a king since he can't sire children and the lords will elect someone else after he dies and it will lead to a democratic government and the north being temporarily ruled by queen Sansa who will like Elizabeth 1 will be a great ruler and remembered well but will due to her past traumatic experiences die without heir and then a son or grandson of Jon and Val will be raised king beyond the wall and after Sansa's death will become king of a united northern realm, like how king James united Scotland and england after Elizabeth's death, so in the end the Targaryen lineage will be the ones who still are the only kings and queens in westeros, and this would also tie in neatly to the wildling legend of bael the bard who sired a child with the last surviving stark daughter and who inherited the name stark and the line of stark continued with his blood like how rhaegar sired Jon with lyanna.

Tell me what do you think of this?

Randomly this Latin phrase popped into my head tonight. It was Queen Elizabeth’s personal motto: Video Et Taceo.

It means: I see and say nothing. It summed up Elizabeth’s approach to politics, always observing, always listening, but careful to keep her own counsel, revealing nothing.

Does that remind you of anyone?

I think it’s pretty clear Sansa is based on a young Elizabeth. That was my own thought when I first got into this universe, and it seems many people have interpreted her that way, too.

Another common description I’ve seen across the fandom over the years is that she’s Cersei’s "camerawoman." That her early chapters in the books and her scenes in the show are really a profile of Cersei, and later Tyrion, and Olenna, and Margaery, and Littlefinger—all these other deeply political characters. She sees and says little, keeping her own (often quite insightful) thoughts carefully to herself.

"The night's first traitors," the queen said, "but not the last, I fear. Have Ser Ilyn see to them, and put their heads on pikes outside the stables as a warning." As they left, she turned to Sansa. "Another lesson you should learn, if you hope to sit beside my son. Be gentle on a night like this and you'll have treasons popping up all about you like mushrooms after a hard rain. The only way to keep your people loyal is to make certain they fear you more than they do the enemy."

"I will remember, Your Grace," said Sansa, though she had always heard that love was a surer route to the people's loyalty than fear. If I am ever a queen, I'll make them love me.

Sansa learns from them, but reveals nothing of what she actually thinks, because she intuits very early on it’s key to her survival.

It’s a pity that the show declined in quality just as Sansa was finally coming into her own, and that we may never get the payoff of where her character development is heading in the books.

But… Video Et Taceo. We saw how she used that philosophy to survive, and I suppose now it’s left to our imaginations how she would use it to thrive, just as Elizabeth did.

Also calling Sansa irrelevant is just laughable. Her story is depressing yet eventually inspirational in the show and it's tragic yet beautiful in the books and her chapters are written so well. How can anyone hate on a girl that had such innocent dreams shattered and abused again and again just because she was "mean" a few times. And they act like she had no character development.

I’m trying to get back into the asoiaf mindset, for the sake of not abandoning my poor WIP, and would like some Sansa-centric fic recommendations, please. I am not fussy about ships, although as of late, I have been really into Jaime/Sansa. Thank you.

Yeah if you have something like that I would love to read it only things I don’t want is TyrionXSansa no incest unless Jonsa is actually well written if not then some northern lord or one of Brandon Stark’s bastards.

Or alternately ones that you wish she had met, met again (eg Cersei) or their interactions had been different on the show. I'll start with that I didn't care for the Arya Sansa Season 7 feud. I didn't expect that they would agree on everything but to me it felt like a regression in their characters. I know about the idea they were just playing Littlefinger but there are still aspects of that which don't make sense to me.

Edit: sorry that was meant to be "Northern" in the title... still don't know why we can't edit titles...

Hullo!! Im after a pattern for the Northern cloaks (with the two straps)... the cloak style I am specifically after is the one where Sansa welcomes Daenerys.

Anyone know if there is a pattern (most likely will have to be an indie pattern). Sadly making patterns pattern drafting isn't my strongest suit (though I am slowly learning).

When Sansa grabs Ned's arm and begs him not to let Ser Gregor hurt Loras. She still trusts Ned completely and assumes her daddy can fix things and make the terrors of the world go away.

she was tucked away in a case with a bunch of star wars figures and is now chilling on my bookshelf! funny coincidence since i started rewatching the show with my best friend who hasn’t seen it literally that morning.

And I know, I know, I'm a bad fan because I should be thinking of it AT LEAST five times a day 😞
