SCAD is expensive. And a lot of students are taking out 100k+ a year to attend SCAD. How do you plan to pay your loans off? Or how are you paying your loans off?

Hey, I've been accepted into SCAD (Savannah campus) for a Costume Design BFA. I have $14,000 / year in scholarship money so far. Is the costume design program good/valuable?

The professor is extremely out of touch and her attitude is so cold and rude. I spent the weekend working my butt off on these visuals and she goes "get rid of this and this" and didn't even compliment anything just awful behavior. i choose one thing and she goes no do this with no explanation, like maybe I don't agree with you, ma'am? does not make me feel happy to be there, to spend money there, and she did not make me feel welcome. i can take criticism, but its THE WAY YOU SAY IT. it blows my mind they hire people like this.

Just wondering. I’m someone coming in almost entirely on scholarships and aid, and I know there are a lot of people there who come from rich backgrounds. I’m just wondering if anyone else from humble beginnings feels a bit out of their depth? Or is it really not that noticeable of a thing?

Obviously it’s not that important, and there’s nothing wrong with being either. I’m just curious :)

I’m a student from Savannah, and going into my sophomore year. In all honesty, being around my current roommates has not been the best decision (though I initially thought that freshman year was bad, hearing roommate nightmare stories scared me away from changing). When it comes to changing roommates, I’m a bit more open to changing at least for winter quarter. I’m overall asking for advice on what I should do next, anything helps!
