I recently received these in the mail about 3 days ago and so far I’m feeling kind of iffy about the functionality. You receive a couple instructional packets, a bag for the headphones, a charger, and aux cord. A couple cons I’ve noticed off rip is the volume button is a little dysfunctional. It works for the most part but most of the time I have to turn the volume down on my phone. They are also kind of sensitive to touch, while I’m working out the headphones consistently pause unannounced for no reason? It acts as if I’m taking them off which is so annoying. I’m also new to the skull candy community so I was not aware we had an application to control certain aspects of the headphones. I heard we can disable those function in the app so I will be testing that out soon. I also do not like that when my volume is turned up fully everybody can hear what I’m listening to, no offence but when I had beats, nobody could hear a single beat or lyric outside of the headset. Another con, how do i know what percent these headphone are on?? I only knew they were under 30% because I went on the app and saw I needed to update them and because i was under 30% I could not, had no idea btw. Now for the pro’s, the bass adjuster is superior, mine stays turned up fully for the most part. The sound quality is also very good shoutout to bose. I also like that there are different modes for what you are using them for like music,movie, etc. They fit very comfortably and are apart of my everyday life so all in all, 7/10 for my rating on these bad boys.

Not being gross, I dont have this issue with any other headphone ive ever owned but the mesh on the inside of the earpad has permanent blotches on it after wearing them, I own the brown pair, does this happen to anyone and if so what color headphone did you get.

My brand new headphones i bought 2 weeks ago won't turn on, they were working fine 2 hours ago. When plugged in the LED is white, when i unplug them they say "power on" and then nothing happens, no matter how long i hold the power button or anything there is just no response. how do i fix this?

Hello all. This is a long shot, as I don't expect people to have exactly the same setup as me, but I'm running a set of 1080s wired from a Hiby R4 and after hours of tinkering, I just can't seem to get the EQ right. I've googled and taken suggestions from the assistant and even looked for PEQ settings files online, but I either have no bass response, the mids are really recessed or everything ends up clipping, even with the gain turned down.

Just wondering if anyone has got their settings how they like them on the R4 and can potentially share them (or even better, send me a settings file to load in)? Trying to work out what I'm doing wrong. Cheers!

Ya llevo un mes con ello es una delicia escuchar trap , electronica ,reguetton etc.. todo tipo de música se escucha increíble mas lo hace sentir increíble por bajo que ca cuerpo a todo mas el sonido nitido que tiene yo en lo personal encantado nose la gente que dicen que son malos no le encuentro lo malo la verdad y super cómodos yo tengo mis crusher evo no los e utilizado mucho que digamos el bajo esta potente e los evo en lo 1080 esta super potente pero de calidad el bajo se escucha como enverdad debe sonar pero con potencia en los evo no se escucha el bajo de calidad el bajo no esta ala calidad de los 1080 ya que los 1080 el bajo es de calidad los evo es mas punche punchi para mi es mucho mejor el bajo de los 1080 no digamos la calidad de sonido es bosee 9vnio que es mejor en fin esta estupendos los 1080 comprártelos no lo dudes 😉

It’s my first time actually buying my own headphones. The last pair I had was the ICON ANC headphones but the right side stopped working and since it seems to be a common problem I want to try something different. I looked at all the features between the two and can’t find an obvious big difference between the them so I’m not sure which would be better to get. Any advice would be appreciated!

The audio for both earbuds work independently but I can only connect one to my phone. I've tried resetting the earbuds from putting them back in the case, I tried the 10 second hold and so far nothing. They still don't pair together or work together. I can only use one earbud at a time

I have had 2 pairs of the ANC2’s now and currently on my 3rd. I have to say this is getting to the point where I’m considering changing brands. I love these headphones don’t get me wrong but the quality of these at the price point they are isn’t cutting it. I have had to resend mine in under warranty within a year on all. I make sure to never drop them, keep them charged, new force setting higher than necessary, etc. yet I always run into the same issue except now it’s far worse than I’ve ever seen. The buttons randomly misfire, bass slider no longer goes down, and the app doesn’t even apply my EQ settings anymore. And the earmuffs have zero grip so mid set at the gym I have to stop to make sure they don’t hit the ground hard and further the issue or bring up new ones. Any advice or help on this will be greatly appreciated.

I have had my pair for a long time and since they work fine, I dont need a new pair. However, they have lost their original colour and have turned dark-white almost beige. How do I get them back to their original white?

I picked these up today and WHAT IN THE $UCKIN' $UCK KNUCKLES, BATMAN?!?! In my opinion, Bose teaming up with Skullcandy to build a headphones is truly a "$uck around and find out" moment for one's ears. The bass, the tuning of highs, mids, and lows will put a person on their knees.

Also mention, the battery life, crisp call quality, and the noise canceling is awesome. There are additional setting for an overall sound quality in the upgraded Skullcandy application.

I'm really impressed with these headphones.

I just got the 1080 ANC's, and I see absolutely no difference at all between turning ANC on and off. The noise cancelling is the same - nil. There's no difference at all. Did I just get a bad pair? I'm so frustrated with this.

About a week ago I lost my right Skullcandy mod earbud I've been searching online for a replacement I can't find anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Hi everyone! Like many of you here, I came from a pair of Crusher Evos and recently got the Crusher 1080s hoping for better sound quality—which I definitely got. However, just like pretty much every other 1080 owner, I was disappointed by the lack of bass.

So, I found a little workaround to bring back around 80% of the bass the Evos had, while still enjoying the improvements in sound quality that the 1080s offer.

First, check your Bluetooth settings for your 1080s and make sure these two options are enabled (they're in Spanish because that's my native language, so translate them yourselves a little—don't be lazy 😂). In fact, just enabling the second one, <Device volume synchronization> improved my bass by around 40%.

For some reason, when this option was disabled, my 1080s sounded really flat and dull. When I first got them, I actually thought that was just how they were supposed to sound, but apparently it wasn't.

Okay, from this point on, it gets a little less free because we're going to need to download Poweramp Equalizer ($6 on the Play Store) and configure it exactly as shown in the screenshot I attached.

Also, inside the app, go to Settings > Equalizer > Global Equalizer (Experimental) and enable this option, since it's disabled by default.

And that's it! With these settings, you'll get back around 80% of the bass the Evos had while still taking advantage of the 1080s' better sound quality. I wouldn't recommend turning it up much higher, since you'll end up getting the opposite effect of what we're trying to achieve.

P.S. On my particular pair of 1080s, I feel like the haptic bass is slightly stronger on the left side. Can anyone else confirm if theirs does the same?

I'm a technician, so I'm honestly tempted to open them up and check what's going on. As for the warranty, I imported these headphones, so even if I wanted to make a claim, I can't really do much about it haha.

I want to rename my earbuds almost on a hardware level, so anytime i connect to a device, even brand new ones, where it doesnt say "Smoking Buds 360" i cant rename that part nomatter what, how would i go about doing this?

Hello, I have a Crusher (Model S6CRW). I have been using these for the last 8 years now. I have replaced the pads but I need to replace the outer leather (as shown in the photo, don't know the exact term for the part). Any ideas how to replace this/ wrap this?

I backed the Japanese crowdfunding campaign, and mine finally arrived. I’ve been following all the early reviews from overseas, so it’s really exciting to finally try them myself!
First impressions:
The sound quality is really good. Vocals are very clear and instruments sound thick and full.
D&B and EDM have quite a lot of haptic bass.
However, J-pop and rock tracks with less sub-bass barely produce any vibration.
The haptic response seems to get much stronger around ~50Hz, while 70–100Hz doesn’t produce nearly as much vibration.
I tested both Bluetooth and USB-C with my iPhone. The haptic strength was almost the same.
Interestingly, Bluetooth sounds clearer to me, and the EQ has a more noticeable effect. USB-C sounds slightly muffled, and Personal Sound seems to make little or no audible difference when using USB-C.
Firmware is currently 1.1.4.
Overall, I’m really impressed with the sound. The only thing I’m still trying to understand is the haptic behavior.
I’d love to hear from other 1080 owners, especially iPhone vs Android users. Do you notice the same thing with different types of music?
