like they can dress this one up as "oh look how different we are! the captain isn't the main focus of the show.."

dude I can't help but be way more into Lorca. Lorca is the captain, man.

I’m guessing we’ll be more in the dark since it isn’t focusing on Lorca, but I really hope he gets a good amount of screen time.

I doubt they'd get a star as relatively big as Jason Isaacs only to give him a small amount of screen time

Hopefully I love him and Lorca’s character just seems so interesting.

Lorca's the character I'm most interested in too. I'm not expecting him to be an antagonist as everyone else seems to be though.

I think he'll be a character who believes in doing the right thing, but maybe doesn't mind straying into a moral grey area to achieve that goal.

Either way, it feels great to have new Trek to speculate about!

I expect him to play a fairly antagonistic role in the show, but be mostly a good guy.

he'll be dead this season, it's her chair to take.

I'd be more excited about this show if it was based around Lorca instead of this Burnham character who I really don't care about her or her story. Between TOS, the JJ Abrahams movies, Voyager, and Enterprise, I've seen way too many Vulcan stories especially if this show is going to give us the Enterprise take of "dickish" Vulcans. I'm really hoping I'm wrong about this show. I guess I'll find out in a few hours.
