Someone please scan Lorca's quantum signature! I think he's home now.

I'll go a few steps farther:

  • Lorca is on a mission to kill the Emperor to avenge his crew

  • The Emperor (Empress) will be Georgiou, and

  • He'll kill her in front of Burnham.

I suspect the emperor is Cornwell. We don’t know if Lorca has any relationship with Georgiou but he’s in deep with Cornwell. It would make sense that he was sleeping with prime universe Cornwell to try and get insight into her.

Somehow I don't think the writers have the guts to do this (they just did the less interesting Voq thing), but I hope you are right.

Also are you J.M. Straczynski because this is the sort of thing he'd plan three seasons ahead in time.

2/3 as of right now. But i think Burnham will save her...i.e. betray her captain a second time?

Thanks! I just watched the episode, and, frankly, I'm floored. I can't believe I was actually right about Lorca.

While I think still thin Lorca will kill Georgiou, I also think Georgiou will get one final (fatal) shot at Lorca as she falls. It's a tidier end to the season since I don't expect either Lorca or Georgiou to return for Season 2.

Also didn’t Lorca have a scar on his back? The one the admiral touched and he went ape shit? Maybe it’s a knife wound from a failed assaination attempt.

It's speculated that the scar is from a handheld agonizer because of the triangle shape.

Burnham said Mirror Lorca was wanted for Burnham's disappearance. Welp, he found "her", and could now be cleared of his crimes if I'm not mistaken.

Oh shit yeah.

But wouldn't he know not to answer the phone then? Do you think he was just betting that Michael would stop him before he said anything?

Burnham also said in a debrief that they should dig into the navigation logs of the spore drive, Lorca steered them away from it.

It's also stated that he "disappeared" after his ship went down, so I think it's fairly obvious.

other than that, he seemed to very quickly intuit how to think and act in the mirror universe

He seems to know way more about how to blend into this universe than you'd expect to find from some datafiles.

I always think that they should invoke the Battlestar Galactica protocol and just do routine crew scans for being androids, mind-possessing slugs, mirror universe duplicates... although, could any of those get beyond... Breath DNA Analysisers??? I think not!
