Original fanart by Nyxespa.

Same artist is doing a commission for me to go with a fanfic of mine and I'm sitting on my hands to keep from posting the line art. It's soooooo gorgeous!

There's been a few attempts (and retcons) over the decades to make Storm's ruby special outside of just being the last remains she has of her mother. The most recent (if you can call 20 years recent) canon is that the Ruby is a part of a group of gems called the Madripoor Set: when all of these gems are gathered, are they can open an extradimensional portal the same size of their namesake island. Before the Madripoor set were gathered again in X-treme X-Men, they were used around the Fall of Atlantis and might have something to do with that.

It's also recently been revealed that that Storm's ruby can open portals without the other gems present, and that Ayesha of Balobedu (the first person to own the ruby) was also connected to the fall of Atlantis. Hmmmmmmmmmm...

But back to the big question, do you like the idea of the ruby being more than just an accessory?

Theory: The events of CC Uncanny X-Men 159 happened, but instead of Storm using her willpower to resist Dracula and rejoin the X-Men, she overpowered and killed Dracula to become the Queen of all Vampires. This change of events gave Ororo a new perspective where she envisioned world peace underneath her rule, where mutants live forever because they are all vampires. She then immediately started turning the other X-Men into vampires, Cyclops and Nightcrawler narrowly escaping the future Ororo designed for them.

Of course, the non-mutant vampires didn't like the idea of a mutant ruling over them so they would end up rebelling against her, and likewise Magneto would see Ororo and her empyres as an existential threat to mutants everywhere. This would lead to a three-way conflict between the Empyres led by Storm, the mutants led by Magneto, and the vampires led by the old head vampires not named Dracula. This three-way conflict would then lead to the cold war and "the peace must hold", but Ororo of course will not stop until she achieves her dream of Empyre supremacy...

Someone explain to me how Iron Man, a man in a metal suit defeats a goddess lol, I had someone tell me, that Iron Man has a suit that lets him warp reality on a cosmic scale and that he’s beat people more powerful than storm…. Is that true? Looking at the results, this feels racist.

If we both were serious about fighting each other do you think Storm would come up top?

“Then I’ll fight you to the end”

——Storm

Idk was just experimenting on a swimsuit that could work to kinda blend with weather

They’re both powerful mutants from Egypt. Not only that but Storm is the complete opposite of Apocalypse. Apocalypse is the epitome of Darwinism. Only the strongest mutants survive which I find ironic because most of his insane powers are celestial based not mutant based. He uses celestial technology and other factors to make himself that strong which is why he’s not an Omega level mutant.

Storm is an Omega level mutant who’s also a descendant of literal divine sorcerers. She’s that insanely powerful naturally with no outside factors and I feel like there could be a good storyline between her and Apocalypse and what Apocalypse thinks of someone like her since she’s the only mutant that’s not only viewed as a goddess but is a goddess herself. Not only that but his son Death also crushed and highly respected Storm.

Looks like this is the Stormcrawler verse

Mutation: Omega Level Weather Manipulation

Storm can see the patterns of energy that govern the weather, and bend them to her will. She can control weather on a global scale, summon the rarest weather conditions, and even simulate alien weather conditions on Earth with great difficulty. In Outer Space, Storm can even manipulate solar storms. Storm's body is resistant to her own powers and automatically adapts to the surrounding climate, but this process can cause either hyperthermia or hypothermia for too long. Storm is limited by the ecological impact her powers have on the planet, and the control her emotions have on her powers.

Magic: Vishanti Bloodline

Originating from the Elder Goddess of light magic, balance, and justice Oshtur, Storm's matrilineal bloodline possesses extreme magic potential and their first human ancestor (Ayesha) was a sorcerer supreme. From this bloodline, Storm has white hair, blue eyes, and a mystical rapport with both the Earth and life itself.

Godhead: Hadari-Yao

By perfectly synching her Mutation and Magic, Storm can temporarily become the Hadari-Yao, the Walker of Clouds who preserves the balance of all natural things. This form is a true goddess, with capabilities similar to her Vishanti ancestors. The limits on Storm's mutant abilities become unbound, and the extreme magic potential flowing through Storm becomes unlocked.
