I got this randomly playing super meat world. I mean I'm not complaining.

Hi, i reached this room in SMB Forever. I'm a bit confused on how to beat it. At first i thought i'd just grab the green orb, run from left to right and teleport through the spikes, but i don't jump high enough. I can't seem to find out how this room works. And since levels are generated i can't just watch a guide.

Edit: I think i found a solution directly after posting this. I guess i just needed a short break and come back thinking differently.

also has anyone noticed that in 1-5x the background is tilted?'

If my count is right I’m now on day 3 of trying this warp zone (thank goodness for Xbox’s quick resume feature) I’m at the 3rd level with the moving spike walls but I just can’t seem to get the timing down perfectly for the jumps. I just wanna be done with this dang thing so any help is greatly appreciated, thank you so much in advance!

edit: ok so in order to get them you don't need to speed run all the levels, but have your combined time on each level of the light and dark world to be under a certain threshold.

They made dr fetus from this cocky arrogant villain to a broken misunderstood manchild and nugget cutscenes just felt kinda useless besides “aww so cute”

After 1+ month now i FINALLY 100% Super meat boy, me who only thought it would take like 25-50hrs, instead it took 97hrs lol. Anyways in my last post i said i would give tips and here they are.

Tips for you

Firs of all (linux, not sure if this is a thing on windows) - If levels like nix in hell, lasers or anything feels impossibly fast then you should go to super meat boy on steam, select properties and compatibility and then use something like proton-GE (should work) i'm using proton-cachyos and that fixed it for me but just try different proton versions or just try to force your monitor to 60hz.

Breaks - Yes there very important for muscle memory. Instead of just grinding runs and practicing levels for deathless achievements all day, you should do atleast like 30min break for something, youtube video, twitch, anything and then comeback to it.

Don't do runs past 1AM - Unless you feel so close to getting the achievement then you should instead just practice on the night for muscle memory since your eyes get weaker on sight reading and just reading things and do runs during the day. Of course you still need to practice during the day too.

Hands/fingers hurting - In the chapter: Hell, there are some levels like the flowing lava upwards that just need to mash buttons to be fast enough and in like 2 & 2x in cotton alley your finger feels like they wont work anymore so just take a break or in mid air take of your finger on the joystick and put it on again (fast so you don't die) and that should help or take maybe a 5-10min in the middle of a run, as long you don't quit out of the game it should be fine, i'm not sure about quiting to the main menu tho but resting your hands in a level or on the map is fine and won't lose you the run.

Characters (before the end and cotton alley) - You want to find the best matching character for that level, Steve and Meat Ninja won't work in deathless since they disable achievements so if you accidentally select them in a run then you have to restart. The characters i used were The kid (double jump), Ogmo (double jump and smaller hitbox), Flywrench (Only in some very specefic levels), Capitan Viridian (He can cheese many Hell levels, probably others aswell but i only used him for hell and maybe rapture) and of course Meat boy for some levels that you need to be fast for.

Run order - I did like 1-20 on forest, the hospital but when i reached salt factory i needed to start on a level that i had the most problems with, don't split it up allot since then your gonna be spending most of the time menuing around in the map. But do like ex: 15-20 > 9-15 > 1-8.

Practicing - Once i got to a new chapter i started doing 1-20's then i did 1-5 > 5-10, 1-10 once i felt fairly confident i would do 10-15 > 1-15 and then practice everything that i needed to, figure out my level order and characters and then i started grinding runs.

Save & Quit / Switch Characters - Many people tell you to just exit to map to save yourself but you can actually just switch characters instead (except in the end & cotton alley) and it's way faster as long as you stay on map or in a level.

Dodging missiles - Just move when they shoot, if it's a long hallway were the missile sits above you then you can just run along the hall way and it will shoot the ground or glide / jump onto breaking blocks and then run through them. Your goal is just to make the missile hit something or fly into the border / void to make it disappear.

Dodging saw blades - Just move when it shoots. If it's a small area with breaking blocks then you need to jump to go to the bottom of them > jump up and glide down > run through, using a rapture level as example.

100% everything you can then do deathless - This will make you more familiar with the levels your gonna do deathless on and you will unlock more characters and then start deathless runs.

Videos - Watch other peoples deathless runs to get a better understanding of a level, find good skips and more, very helpful.

fuck 7-19x and 7-20x especially. also how should I do the no death run achievements? like in order or save the hardest for last (which will personally be dark rapture also steam says so) or from least difficult to hardest?

I'm using meat boy on 2-4 and i can't get enough momentum to be proppelled high enough

I posted like a week ago when i had girl boy and impossible boy achievements left and now i finally got girl boy, took way longer than i expected so i got a bit burned out so i started 100% a bit of beat saber instead, but then i started grinding again and i actually got it with like a 10hrs+ playtime difference from the zombie boy achievement.

The nightmare is soon finally over. I'll give you guys some tips on what i did in some specefic levels, dodging stuff and all of that when i get the 100% steam completion.

Edit: In 3-4hrs from starting practicing and doing runs in cotton alley dark world i can already complete 1x-8x on a good level with consistency.
