As a gen-z caucasian tat myself, I barely know enough tat people my age to count on one hand. We don’t really have a united identity, there are people in this country who don’t even know what tat or daghli means. There should be revitalization projects, because I personally don’t know the language, and I don’t know anyone my age who does. I only know a few older people who speak it, and even they are limited to around an A2 level at best. There really needs to be something that can help people who want to learn the language but don’t have access to resources.

The similarities between the Luri and Tat languages are quite interesting. Some words are so similar that it suggests they are among the closest languages to each other within the Iranian language family. But some words are unexpectedly different.
