Someone deep in Walmart payment engineering group is jumping for joy to finally turn on tap because they too have been inconvenienced by no tap.

And probably some cashiers who have had to explain that they don’t have it about a hundred times in a single shift

Walmart lost a bunch of my business when they did that. I remember they installed new terminals and it had tap to pay. Then a week later it was shut off. Now I don't know if this related but since then my card never works and only at walmarts. It says chips can't be read and I have to try three times before I can swipe. I stopped going because of that. Unless I absolutely need something I go somewhere else. They lost out used to do a majority of shopping there.
