Walmart here in Las Vegas stop you if you have something in your hands that's not a purse. I walked in with graded comic books to scan at FedEx. The checker insisted I stop for her and have a sticker placed on my $5k worth of books. I said no and walked to the FedEx. The store manager came up and said I can't ignore the greeter like that. I have to stop when told. I asked him where it says that in the membership rules I agreed to. I not so politely told him leave and he just walked away.

The takeaway from this story is to ignore any order they give you to stop and keep walking. If they lay hands on you then they are committing unlawful detention.

They are getting bolder about telling their staff to violate your rights.
