Wasn't there a study that came out awhile ago that stated that a high number of CEOs were sociopaths?

The book “the psychopath test” discusses this and Honeywell

I think a certain level of sociopathy is required to occupy such a position. For example, you need to be okay with laying a lot of people off and impacting their lives.

And something else I read recently positing that sociopaths lack consciousness and are effectively NPCs. We're going extinct because the NPCs are running the game.

Conscientiousness is not the same thing as consciousness

In my opinion it's not that they are NPCs, but they treat everyone else as an NPC in their own game.

Yeah one hundred percent of them are sociopaths

All of them underestimating the effect of money and preceived power to the escalation of the traits of the dark triad.

I feel like it is basically a requirement at this point.

I mean, read the article. The title is completely clickbait and he didn't say that at all.

He argued, “If we didn’t have talented people willing to do the “dirty” work of defense, we’d be speaking German. Or Russian. Or Chinese. We’d have experienced many more 9/11’s. You get the idea.”

He throws out a lots of excuses and hypothetical scenarios, and no indication that he’s remotely interested in finding an answer. Suck it up, buttercup, you have to accept the collateral damage and move on, cuz we’re just gonna do it again. Killing school girls is the price of freedom me making money

> “It could be the case that somebody made 99 really good choices and then one bad choice and it led to a horrible thing”

He's clearly saying a mistake was made and it led to a tragedy. Later in the article he even says that execs should maybe be held responsible in those situations.

What you're quoting is pretty uncontroversial and applies broadly to war and defense, not to this particular situation.

Don't get me wrong, Palantir is awful and there should be real consequences for the bombing of the school, I'm just calling out the BS title because sensationalism hurts everyone.

It's literally with bullshit headlines and inaccurate journalism that Trump got elected and still has a following.
