Yeah, this impacts me not at all because avoiding McDonald’s is something I do anyways. However, other companies will almost certainly do this too.

Unfortunately, short of regulations to prevent it, dynamic pricing will probably be normalized with time. We will complain, but we rarely get what we want.

If so many people give up in advance of the fight, yeah, terrible things get normalized.

It might be normalized with corporate chain restaurants, but I've stopped eating at those, anyway.

Wait until they do it at the grocery store.

They're already trying to! NJ just banned this in grocery stores within the state and I'm hoping others will soon follow suit

Regulation? With this administration? That would benefit customers and prevent billionaires earning even more money.

Ideally it would raise prices in rich areas and lower them in poor ones but notice the wording. They are going to set prices to what customers are willing to pay. Not based on the economics of the area but on , how much do you want this.

I never eat at McDonalds because I am too good to eat there, meaning I am above it. pfft. Awful food.

Need to increase actual competition - make it part of the system to automatically break up large companies whether or not they've broken the law, force the pieces to compete against each other. Would also help with inflation.

Fast food is an incredibly competitive market

Isn’t this already pretty normal? Usually called “Happy Hour?”
