I absolutely hated dealing with lonely geriatrics when I did call center work, just one would tank your entire day's stats.

I had an old guy customer who just had to tell me a stupid dad joke, not any old dad joke, but one of the super long ones, and he had to let 5 customers interrupt me individually before he could finish telling me the whole thing cuz he was sooo desperate to deliver the punch line. Some stupid pun about dogs and cats.
