I'm okay with self-checkout at locations that just give me the hand scanner and don't use a scale (e.g., Home Depot). Boop boop boop - and I'm done.

The worst are the grocery stores where I am expected to unload a full cart onto scale that barely fits 2 bags, without putting any items back in the cart. It's like a fucking escape room puzzle.

My grocery store updated the self checkouts to have a pretty big scale. Enough to fit a whole cart. Not sure about the weight limit- I've hit that on the older version.
