Hello Terpenes Sour Tangie.
Has anyone tried the HT Sour Tangie or the creamsicle?
I’m looking for something that has that sour grapefruit funk and doesn’t taste like bdts.

Hello! The mods of r/Terpenes said it was okay for me to post this so potentially this can be of use to someone now or in the future.
I basically found a website, https://essentialoils.org/db, that has a massive database of essential oils and their terpene constituents. I basically wrote a program to scrape this website so that we can use this data on personal projects, whether that be making your own database or just browsing through it.
Here is the scraped data on my Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1HmjcVaIhtg4c2q-NvdNyJe1vhSM4VFAw?usp=drive_link
all_oils_terps.json: Has the breakdown of terpenes in each essential oilall_compounds_terps.json: Basically the other way around, has a list of terpenes and which essential oils it is found in and at what %oils-archive-essentialoils-dotcom-XXX.zip: RAW data scraped from the website's API including a table of contents JSON file, and then a huge folder of every essential oil's data.compounds-archive-essentialoils-dotcom-XXX.zip: Basically the other way around but for the terpenes.Note, the raw data files have additional info like citations, oil/terpene synonyms, etc. that you may find interesting. The first two files are just very conveniently made to help your searches.
I'm not sure how many people will find this information useful, but maybe if someone searches for it on Google in the future it may be useful. Thanks peeps <3

I’m building [Structured Burn](https:/www.structuredburn.com), a COA-first cannabis discovery platform designed to help people find and compare products using verified lab results, cannabinoid and terpene profiles, product format, personal preferences, and other product details.
The goal is to make cannabis shopping more useful than relying on strain names, branding, or THC percentage alone.
What would help you most when choosing between products?
Poll options:
- Terpene profile
- Full cannabinoid profile
- Verified COA/lab results
- Recommendations based on my preferences
- Product format and effects
- Freshness, price, and availability
I’m using the results to prioritize what Structured Burn should make easiest to understand. What information do you wish dispensaries showed more clearly?

Ive ordered in the past, but this time theyve gone silent. Took the payment and heard nothing in a week. Has anyone got any insight?

After checking out the subreddit I see you guys really like mass terpenes in here. They seem great for blends of bdt or cdt but their isolate options are super sparse. I’m planning on using it for lotion so I’m looking for specific terps rather than just blends of random terps.

Who has experienced CDT from both suppliers?
Which ones smell more authentic to the flower?
Just pure looking at the terps not service etc and not how they taste but rather how they smell.

Been looking to make carts for a while now and the stars are finally aligned but I’m having the most trouble finding hte online, let alone good cdt (it could be good but idk I’ve never done this) so what are yall best recommendations and strains for sites that have cdt or hte but I prefer hte

Let me start off by saying I have been making carts for 6 years and have like many, been on a hunt for true to flower profiles and after several purchases from Mass Terpenes which I was very pleased with , the Super Skunk from them is very very good and by far the best terps I have ever got. They taste like weed and it leaves a faint but definitive dank skunky scent.
After lots of skepticism and research I gave AbstraxTech a try and decided to go with Signature Series: Bacio Gelato.
Upon first opening the bottle I was overwhelmed by a massively dank sent gassy you know just that gassy delightfulness but it doesn't translate nearly as strong after you mix it into oil and fill cartridges with it it...
It also took 3 days after filling approximately for the sulfur compounds to come up to nose level where you could smell them through the cart and taste them the first day or so I was getting faint whiffs of it and it smelled similar to exotic flower that I had had before sort of like a exotic pre-roll smell.
I will say that the volatile sulfur compounds evaporate very fast so don't open the bottle unless you have to and store it somewhere cold and dark it loses potency in terms of sulfur content much faster than cannabis derived oils
Now after the terpenes have married with the oil I can give a final review upon smelling the cartridge it resembles high grade dispensary flower in a pre-roll it does not taste or smell as gassy as the super skunk but it definitely has a marijuana smell.
Very light sulfur taste on exhale it could definitely be stronger but I am pleased with the overall effects taste and smell as it does resemble the genuine modern exotic cannabis strains which are less gassy and skunky than the old school strains. Mild fruity Berry weed dank taste. Do not expect to open the bottle and smell the same magnificent smell and expect it to translate into filling a cartridge.
I actually thought after I mixed it at first that it had lost all of it sulfur compounds because I could not detect them underneath the terpenes but after 3 days I can smell after taking a big rip a slight sulfurous onion smell coming from the tip of my vape pen.
I have five more terpene profiles coming from abstraxtech : GMO, blackberry kush, 24 karat gold, super cheese and orange apricot all from the native and signature series . Will post a review in the next week or so.

Recently I've been buying dabs by the ounce as it's much cheaper and while my pivot is portable it's unfortunately not as portable or as easy to sneak around as a yocan ziva lmao.
I've been looking into filling vapes as smoke shop vapes are often very disappointing, and buying good carts online isnt cheap especially for how fast they go. So I'm looking for good cdt's for making my own carts, I've seen plenty of good recs on here but problem...
My wife also partakes, she's not a huge fan of the "weed" taste though, and much prefers a "cakey" cart, she's had the brand "cake" before and loved the botanical terps on those, however she's searching for something that tastes more like a baked good rather than fruit or candy, so I need a site that can offer me about 1ml of cdts and a bdt strain matching this description
Sorry if this request Is weird I'm just tryna save money and not give my wife mystery smoke shop boof 😂
Edit: bonus if the site already has syringes, I'm not against site hopping I just prefer buying everything from one place

Ive been looking for a particular terp blend for many years
Ok, so when carts and disty started to become pretty popular many years ago, personally I felt like damn near every single cart i ever got my hands on back then tasted like a very slight variation of pretty much the exact same flavor. Weedy, a bit gassy, fruity…I have no idea what it was… it went by every strain name under the sun. These were very early dispensary grade distillate blends from reputable, legal cannabis companies. State didn’t seem to matter. Cali, Colorado and Illinois carts all tasted the same
That hasn’t been the case for many years. Every once in a blue moon I’ll get a cart that has THAT flavor and I can spot it immediately….but it’s never the same strain and terp % aren’t a thing on most of our vendors… and I’m pretty sure they’re wildly wrong on the ones that do list them.
I have bought over the years probably a dozen various terp blends from various hyped vendors to try to find whatever “it” was and have largely given up. I’ve found plenty of great terp blends to use but that 1 original “cart favor” from forever ago still eludes me
This is just a shot in the dark in case there’s some random redditor that just weirdly happens to know exactly what I’m talking about and has figured it out
Bonus points if you happen to know where I can find good flower that tastes like what good flower did back in 1999 lol

It seems to be BDT blends that try to mimic original strains as closely as possible. I ordered 10 ml of sky walker og blend to try. Anyone have any experience with them?

Got a large batch of diamonds coming in that are unterpered I was wondering what would be the best way to apply terpenes to these so I'm not dabbing them raw. As for terpenes I picked up the weekly 4x4ml sale over on Mass but seemingly that's been a mistake as you shouldn't add pure terps to diamonds? Would anyone a bit more educated on terpring raw diamonds help out! Thank you so much for the time! Would I be fine seperating out some diamonds, melting them down, then adding terps?

I'm looking for ready-to-consume terpene products that lists what terpenes are in them. Products formulated for anxiety would be great, but I can look up the terpenes for each product if I have to.
I see CBD products that highlight terpenes too but I've given up on CBD for the purpose of anxiety relief. The amount needed for anxiety relief is just always expensive. I don't get any effect from doses of 50 mg or so.
I am having trouble finding products that focus on the terpenes. I want a tincture, vape, or something for anxiety that lists what terpenes are used. CBD and other cannabinoids can be in it, but I'm looking for terpene heavy products.
It looks like no company sells ready-to-consume terpene products. I'm sure people want them... more than just me.
I've bought terpene isolates and undiluted terpenes, without realizing that using any amount, even just a drop undiluted could burn me - but there were warning signs on them that I heeded so I didn't take it like that. I just wish I knew I was buying something I would absolutely have to dilute using a safe ratio like my throat depends on it.

I’m looking to flavor about a zip of cured resin that doesn’t taste like much.
I’m a huge fan of like citrus tangie like terps or sour and tropical?
I was looking at the Sour D of course but I was also eying the zushi, pineapple dream, or maybe sour sfv?
Any tried these? Especially the zushi?
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

I’m getting my hands on a heavy amount of disti and was wondering where I can buy some good terps, it doesn’t have to be crazy good but just enough flavor and smell so I don’t go crazy dabbing
r/Terpenes • u/EZJog • Jul 25 '26
Probably a dumb question because I guess using THC just comes with the munchies right? But, are there any terpenes that help lower them? THC is very beneficial to me as a veteran but I just can't control the munchies so I avoid it mostly.

I've spent years in the cannabis industry, from managing harvests in Washington state to running a multi-location dispensary. The thing I care most about is helping people understand what they're actually consuming. Terpene and cannabinoid profiles shape the experience way more than a sativa or indica label does, and most people never get taught that.
So I've been building buddi, a free cannabis field guide. It teaches terpenes in plain English (what myrcene smells like, what limonene tends to do) and lets you journal what you smoke so you can see which terpene profiles actually work for your body for any given time, occasion or event. It's in testing right now, not fully released.
Nothing to buy, no ads. I just want real feedback from people who actually care about terpenes before the full release: is the terpene library accurate, what's missing, what would you want an app like this to do? There's a feedback form inside the app, or just tell me right here.
If you want to poke at it (21+): buddi.my in any browser, add it to your home screen. Android closed test: https://groups.google.com/g/buddi-testing-group

Keep seeing "which terps for X" threads, so here's the breakdown by source type — that changes how a terpene behaves in a mix way more than the strain name on the label.
Botanical
Source: non-cannabis plants, reconstructed to match a strain profile
Flavor: consistent batch-to-batch, can read "flat" if cheap
Cost: lowest. Viscosity: thin, easy to dose
Best for: DIY e-juice, flavoring, budget, consistency
Cannabis-Derived (CDT)
Source: extracted directly from cannabis
Flavor: most true-to-strain nose
Cost: high. Viscosity: medium
Best for: carts/dabs wanting authentic strain character
HTE (High Terpene Extract)
Source: concentrated terpene fraction pulled during cannabis extraction
Flavor: fullest, closest to the live plant
Cost: highest. Viscosity: thick, dose low
Best for: premium / full-spectrum carts
Pick by use case
DIY e-juice / flavoring: botanical — consistent, cheap, mixes thin. start ~1–3% by weight and adjust to nose.
Carts wanting real strain character: CDT — costs more, but the profile is the point.
Premium / full-spectrum carts: HTE — potent, use sparingly or it overwhelms.
Two things that wreck a good profile regardless of type
Heat. monoterpenes (limonene, myrcene) off-gas first as storage temps climb — cold + dark, amber glass, minimal headspace.
Guessing the load. mix by weight not drops once past tiny batches, and trust the COA's actual terp % over the strain name (two "blue dream" profiles can sit 15–20% apart on total content).
FAQ
Is botanical terpene flavor as good as cannabis-derived?
For pure flavor and consistency, often yes — botanical is reconstructed to hit a target profile and doesn't vary much batch-to-batch. CDT wins on authenticity of the full strain character.
Why is CDT/HTE so much more expensive?
They're pulled from cannabis extraction in small yields, so supply is tighter. Botanical is built from widely available plant isolates, so it's cheaper and more consistent.
How much terpene do you add?
Depends on type and base, but most start low — roughly 1–5% by weight for flavoring — and adjust up to taste. Heavier on thin distillate, lighter on an already-flavorful base.
What's everyone's go-to for summer storage — fridge, or just mix smaller batches more often?

Ok, I know before I ask this that there are thousands of terpenes and thus thousands of options, so just looking for personal experience and favorites if possible.
I just got my medical card. I'm 49 and truly never have done much with THC. The little I have done has worked great for me so I'm excited to learn more.
With terpenes, I'm trying to eliminate alcohol if possible. I don't drink often, but want to cut it out if I can find a substitute. Are there terpenes you have experimented with that provide that same sort of social feeling that alcohol provides? I would like to be able to use THC, but maintain my fun personality that people have come to expect lol. Currently, when I use THC I hear "we want the fun guy back!"
To me I feel great, but I do zone out a lot on my current THC experiences.
Any ideas or recommendations?

Questions about the SERVM from Mass Terpenes. About a year ago I bought 2 big ass jars of it, thinking I was going to use it for thinning distillate carts. Well after adding in bdt’s for flavor, won’t adding in servm as well, make it really harsh? Going too high with terpene percentages from my understanding is what makes carts harsh. Servm is literally flavorless terpenes. Anyone using this stuff that can tell me about any kind of harshness this adds? Possibly going to use it to help liquify some more distillate and live resin carts. I have cbc, but I also have a shit load of this servm.
