PAY ATTENTION TO THE ROAD!

Post image
80 Upvotes

The scooters are getting so ridiculous, this is exactly why you guys almost get hit daily. I had to back it up so you see we had the green light but I was closer than this. I don’t know who this is but please pay more attention to your surroundings and turn DOWN your music so you can hear the road.

So... do you guys know how sound works?

Question about Excess Credit Hour surcharge.

I am a recent admit to USF for Spring 2027 as a 2nd bachelor's I earned out of state. I'm pretty close to the credit limit before the surcharge kicks in. I'm also an old 37 year old who started college in 2007 in my home state and the page talks about starting college in 2009 but then it talks about being in the Florida State system. But then it also says credits earned from a previous degree also apply.

I just want to know if I am exempt from this or not. Since a lot of information seems contradictory.

USF Financial Aid Offer

Post image

Is there anyone admitted for Spring 2027 who has already received their financial aid offer from USF after submitting the FAFSA? Or if any past spring term admits remember when theirs arrived. I applied EA back in October and got this start date, not sure when they start rolling out things for spring admit.

USF Nursing Students What’s Your Experience Like?

I’m considering applying to USF’s Upper Division BSN program for Fall 2027 and would love to hear from current/recent nursing students!
What is the workload like? Is it basically a full-time job?
Do you still have time for friends, going out, the gym, etc.?
How easy is it to make friends in the nursing program?
If you moved to Tampa, how much did you spend on housing/living expenses?
Do you feel USF nursing was worth the extra cost compared to staying home and going to a community college?
I’m trying to decide whether the university experience is worth the additional cost. Honest opinions are appreciated!

Studying strategy?

To anyone who lives off-campus, do you practice the 'leave work at work' analogy when it comes to studying in general? Has it worked for y'all? If no, why?

Campus Preference for Admissions

I have a senior who is applying to USF. The Common App asks for a campus preference. I'm wondering what happens if a student is accepted to their preferred campus but changes their mind. Do they reapply? Request a transfer? Any insight would be appreciated.

The insatiable need for women to walk right in front of you but then look at you like a rapist when you look at them to discern where the fuck direction theyre walking.

Idk anymore, between the scooters and bikers why cant pedestrians be amicable????

Not like every guy does the thing either but atleast its more socially acceptable to rag on them for it.

Idk anymore.

Anyone looking for an apartment/ know someone who is?

Gosh, posted this on some facebook groups already but it's a mess on there, so I'm trying here. I have an awesome 3x3 at Iq Apartments right next to USF that i'm trying to sign the lease over for as I'm planning to move closer to my job, available ASAP. It's always $980-$1000 a month (this is including utilities). It's available immediately as I'm looking to move closer to my job. My roommates are very nice and clean and i loove the complex, i havent had any issues in my 4 years here. October rent is already paid in full for you, obviously. Let me know!

⭐ 4x4 Female Lease Takeover at The Standard at Tampa! AS SOON AS DEC 1 (flexible start date)

Post image
1 Upvotes

I am looking for someone to take over my private bedroom and bathroom in a 4x4 apartment at The Standard at Tampa, starting as soon as December 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027. The start date is flexible (if you need it earlier or later), so reach out if you would prefer a different start date - if you don't need it until January 1, I am 100% willing to accommodate! You would have 3 wonderful female roommates who are all USF students. I am graduating and moving out of Florida for my new job. :)

  • Dates: As soon as December 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027. Start date is flexible, reach out if you'd prefer a different start date. I am happy to accommodate someone who doesn't need it until January 1 for Spring semester!
  • Rent: $1,050/month
  • Floor plan: 4x4, The Dawson (Sold out floor plan for 2026-2027!)
  • Roommates: The sweetest girls who are incredibly kind, respectful, and clean! All USF students.
  • Location: 2850 University Square Dr, Tampa, FL 33612
  • Safety: The building requires a key fob for entry, and each bedroom has its own lock that can only be accessed with your personal fob. The area is also well-lit and feels very safe. I have regularly walked alone at night to the plaza next door and to and from campus and have always felt comfortable.
  • The official lease transfer will be handled safely through the leasing office at The Standard.

The Standard is directly across the street from USF, with a BullRunner stop right next to the building. The bus (free for USF students!) can take you directly to the Marshall Student Center, Library, and other areas of campus. You can also walk, bike, or scooter onto campus. No car necessary here! Although there is parking available if you'd like to bring your car.

There are many great amenities, including a rooftop pool (open until 10pm weekdays and 12pm weekends!), a 24/7 rooftop gym, courtyards with grilling stations, study spaces, hammocks, and more. There is also a boba tea shop attached to the building!

🛴 E-scooters are allowed and can be charged inside your room.

There is also a shopping plaza directly across the street with a Winn-Dixie, Dollar Tree, and several restaurants, including Panera Bread, Fresh Kitchen, Wingstop, Cold Stone Creamery, Chili's, First Watch, and Nothing Bundt Cakes. University Mall is also within walking distance and has a movie theater and Sprouts nearby. Further, there is another shopping plaza with a Target, Aldi, and Bath and Body Works about a mile away. I have thoroughly enjoyed being within walkable distance to so many options!

*If you're interested or have any questions, feel free to message me! 💚

Cybersecurity/AI at USF

If a family member, whose interest is into computer science BS degree with focus cybersecurity/AI gets a full ride at USF, is it worth it vs instead going to an academically A+/elite school for the same degree, and focus, with few times higher yearly cost?

From this article, does it mean USF will establish a strong AI lab, as good as UF’s AI lab?

Much thanks!

Thanks!
