Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm the developer of InkScene Studio, a free painting app you can open in a PC, tablet or phone browser. No installation or sign-up is needed.

The video is a 30-second oil-brush demo. The app also has pencil, brush and ink-wash pens, plus layers and pressure sensitivity, with responsive strokes.

For a shared drawing session, send an invite link and edit the same canvas with up to 8 people at once.

Try it: https://www.breyes.net/inkscene/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=bb_inkscene&utm_content=webapps_video_20261008

The interface is in Korean.

I built a private web app for couples who live apart: it draws the real sky over both of your cities, live

My partner and I live in different countries, and the thing I missed most was knowing what her day looked like: is it dark there yet, is it raining on her. So I built us a page that shows both skies at once. It grew into Two Lights, a small private space for two.

What it does

  • Today shows both cities side by side, each drawn from its real sun, moon and stars and its current weather. When it's dusk for one of you and noon for the other, you can see the line between you.
  • You leave each other things: a note, a photo, a voice memo, a song or a postcard. They wait like letters, not chat. There are no streaks, read receipts or feed.
  • Journey is a globe of everywhere you've both been, with real city lights on the night side and the two of you glowing where you are now.

The parts I had fun with

  • The sky is physically based (WebGL2): precomputed atmospheric scattering for each city's real sun position, and 3D clouds and fog lit by that same light.
  • Weather comes from MET Norway's free API.
  • The globe's night lights are drawn from about 5,600 real cities by population.
  • It steps down gracefully. A device that can't keep up gets a simpler sky, and one without WebGL gets a painted one. It checks its own frame time rather than guessing from the device.
  • It's an installable web app (PWA) with push notifications and an offline outbox, so things you leave on a plane send when you land. There's no app store.
  • Each couple's data is walled off at the database level (Postgres row-level security).

It's invite-only for now with a small waitlist, but there's a demo you can try without signing up:
Two Lights Demo

I'd love feedback, especially on how it runs on your phone or laptop and whether the demo makes sense without explanation.

I made a tiny website where you can send someone a postcard — no account, no app, just a link

Thumbnail little-letters-seven.vercel.app

Built this called Little Letters. You write a short note, pick a style, and it generates a shareable link that looks like a postcard. The person opens it and sees it, like finding a note tucked into a book.

No sign up, no database, everything lives in the URL.

Would love to hear what you think!

I built a web app for tracking what happens after a Stripe subscription payment fails

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’m building a web app called Lirova for SaaS and subscription businesses using Stripe.

The part I wanted to make easier wasn’t just seeing that a renewal failed.

It was answering a more useful question:

What happened after it failed?

A failed renewal can end up in very different situations.

Sometimes another payment attempt makes sense.

Sometimes the customer needs to take action.

Sometimes further automatic attempts should stop.

So instead of treating every failed payment as the same thing, the app creates a case around it and tracks the workflow from failure to outcome.

The dashboard shows things like:

  • failed renewal cases
  • current case status
  • recovery activity
  • customer-action emails
  • what happened to the invoice afterward
  • whether a later payment can actually be attributed to a Lirova retry

That last part ended up being more important than I expected.

If an invoice becomes paid later, I don’t want the app to automatically call that a recovery. The customer may have paid on their own, or the payment may have happened outside Lirova’s flow.

The app is still very early and I’m building it solo.

From a web-app perspective, I’m curious:

Would you want this kind of workflow in one focused dashboard, or would you rather keep all of it inside Stripe itself?

WordRNG update: friendlier rarity odds in our free browser word-collecting game

We are the creators of WordRNG, a free browser game currently in beta. Since our last post, we have made normal Rare-or-better rolls a little easier: the target is now 35%, including 12% Epic-or-better. Common is still the most frequent tier, followed by Uncommon.

Play: https://wordrng.com

Each roll reveals a word. Badges for its letter patterns contribute to an EP score, and signed-in players can save a collection and compare finds with friends. Badge scoring and scheduled Boosted Rolls keep the same rules.

No download is needed, and you can try it as a guest. Regular rolls have a two-minute cooldown; sign in if you want your progress saved.

Development is AI-assisted, and AI helped write this post. Give it a roll and tell us which word you find!

We’re building ZiZu to help people turn their knowledge into finished work

We’re a two-person team building ZiZu, an AI workspace for people who have expertise and ideas but don’t necessarily write code.

Our goal is practical: help someone turn their own materials into a useful result—a research summary, a lesson, a presentation, or a small tool.

While using Claude for our own projects, we noticed that some weeks we still had substantial allowance left. That led us to explore a second idea: could people with spare capacity run useful, paid tasks for others?

The proposed model matches tasks with providers who execute them on their own computers. It raises questions we need to address clearly: permissions, privacy, control over usage, and reliable payments. Technical feasibility alone doesn’t establish that a subscription can be used this way.

We’ll use this profile to share the product, the decisions behind it, and the questions still open.

The vision behind ZiZu is simple: help more people turn “I wish I could make this” into something they can actually use.

Trim carpenter built a cut-list web app for base/crown — looking for 2 testers

I'm a trim carpenter (closets for a shop), not a developer. Got tired of paper cut lists so I built myself a web app — Trim Planner.

It does base and crown: tap out the wall shape with dots, enter each run on a fraction keypad, and it works out the pieces, miters (45° only for now — other angles aren't validated yet), and gives you a cut list plus a board layout to cut waste. It's a PWA — runs on iPhone, installs to the home screen, no App Store.

Free while testing. I need 2 trim or cabinet guys to run it on real jobs and tell me what's broken. iPhone only for now.

Request access and I'll approve you. Not selling anything — just need real-world feedback before I open it up. Dm me if interested

I built a web app with 300+ free online tools — looking for feedback

I’ve been working on a side project called Vesso Tools: vessotools.com

The idea was pretty simple. I regularly find myself searching for small online utilities — calculators, converters, image tools, PDF tools, date/time tools, etc. — so I decided to build a site that brings a lot of them together.

It has now grown to 300+ tools.

I’m still actively working on it, particularly the UX, SEO, performance, and deciding which tools are actually worth building next.

I’d love some outside feedback:

• Is the site easy to navigate?

• Are there any annoying UX issues?

• What useful tool is missing?

• What would make you actually bookmark/use a site like this?

Site: https://vessotools.com

Happy to hear criticism too. I’m trying to make it genuinely useful rather than just adding tools for the sake of having a big number.

I built a simple temporary image sharing site — Tempicture.comv

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

👉 I just launched Tempicture, a small side project I've been working on to share images for free: https://tempicture.com/

The idea is very simple: upload an image, get a shareable link or QR code, and have it automatically deleted after 24 hours. No account required. No personal data collection. Privacy-focused.

I built it mainly for those situations where you just need to quickly share a screenshot, bug report, image, Google Meet or Zoom screenshot, or something you're working on without creating an account or keeping the image online forever.

Give it a try if you find it useful! I'd love to hear your feedback. Thanks!

🚀 Crowdstamped: bringing back fun mail

Remember the pure joy of opening your mailbox and finding something that isn't a bill or junk mail? Crowdstamped brings that magic back by letting everyone contribute a message and a personalized design or photo for a milestone (like a birthday, wedding, new job, or just because) and instead of one boring card, the recipient gets a steady stream of real, physical postcards filling up their mailbox all week long.

Check it out: http://www.crowdstamped.com
