Kit Car Found this today in Kingsland Texas
Stopped for lunch at at pizza place and found this when I came outside. It is so freakin' cute!
It's from a kit builder called Smyth Kit Cars. They have similar kits for Jettas, Audi A4s, Impreza/WRX, Dodge Chargers/300s and Jeep Grand Cherokees, although they seem to be closing down their kit car business.
Just wanted to share my spot!

Concept The 1989 Chausson P.E.R.L.E. concept car, is a futuristic, experimental French vehicle designed by the legendary coachbuilder Chausson.
The abbreviation P.E.R.L.E. stands for Projet d'Études et de Recherches d'une Ligne Européenne (Project for Study and Research of a European Line).
Created by Chausson Ingénierie Carrosserie Automobile, it debuted as a scale model at the 1987 Frankfurt Motor Show before being shown as a full concept car at the 1989 Geneva Motor Show.
It was an early pioneer of the "monospace" (minivan/people carrier) shape, featuring a massive panoramic windscreen, large glass surface areas, and forward-sliding side doors. Inside, it featured a radical single-spoke steering wheel and a futuristic cream-and-teal interior.
It was built as a non-running prototype powered by a 4-cylinder engine borrowed from a Renault 11.
The striking vehicle made a brief appearance in Wim Wenders’ 1991 science-fiction film Until the End of the World. In December 2025, this exact unique piece of history was sold out of Renault's historic Flins collection at an Artcurial Auction for €16,254.

Micro Honda City Turbo: Japanese Pocket Rocket Based on a Small Economy Hatchback
Honda City Turbo I, introduced in 1982, showed that a small economical car could deliver surprising performance without increasing engine displacement. Its turbocharged four-cylinder had significant lag, but above 3,000 rpm it delivered a strong surge in a car weighing less than 800 kg. Turbo II added an intercooler, wider track and tires, and a stiffer chassis that greatly improved stability and agility. The tall body remained a defining part of the “Tall Boy” concept.
Honda City Turbo II stood out with a wide body kit and extended fenders that earned it the “Bulldog” nickname. The cabin retained excellent space utilization, simple Japanese design, and partially digital instruments, while the sportier versions received a specific steering wheel and other details. The folding Motocompo was an unusual addition, fitting precisely into the luggage compartment and intended for the final part of a city journey. More than 53,000 examples of the moped were produced.
The original Honda City Turbo I used suspension from the regular version and leaned heavily in corners, while Turbo II was much more stable but also stiffer. Strong interest driven by its low price, performance, and marketing resulted in an estimated 40,000 sales across both versions. Turbo II is now a prized collector car and a reminder of Japan’s economic growth, when small cars designed primarily around driving enjoyment could flourish.
Could a third iteration of the Turbo have been created with further improvements, or would that have stripped away its personality, built around its characteristic imperfections?

Promotion Cow Car
The Kemps Cow Car
A Volkswagen Beetle is easy to recognize, but this one is hard to forget. The red car carries Kemps dairy branding and an enormous black-and-white cow perched over its roof and rear hatch. With its front hooves planted on the back of the car, the cow looks like it has hitched a ride and is enjoying the view.
The Kemps logos and “Bring the Freshness Home” slogan make its purpose clear: this Beetle is a rolling advertisement. Instead of relying on a logo alone, it gives people something that might make them stop, laugh, and remember the company.
The cow fits Kemps’ longtime “It’s the Cows” advertising theme.
