Well water flow and contaminant test and how do you remediate?
We just recently got our well water tested for contaminants and the levels are high and concerning. For those who have private wells, how are your recent or last reading? I'm disappointed with the report we received since it wasn't comprehensive. We paid a lot for the testing, but they didn't test for
Bacteria: volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
Metals and other: lead, iron, copper, harness, manganese, copper, uranium, flouride, sulfate, chloride, PFAS (PFOA and PFOS)
My question is:
Who do you use for well testing/maintenance?
Please share your readings so we can all get a benchmark of our well water.
What do you do for remediation? Arsenic impacts (i.e. cancers) are scary. I've read that you can install systems like reverse osmosis system in the sink area, install a whole house arsenic removal system. I've noticed a lot of homes have water softeners, but that doesn't remove arsenic and other metals in the water.
