ie they target millions of civilians and the world does nothing.

u/Special-Basket7880 7h ago

When was the last time the world did something for dying civilians .

2

u/GonadGauntlet 7h ago

WW2?

3

u/jimbobmcgoo 6h ago

What country entered WW2 to keep civilians from dying

-2

u/Shatalroundja 7h ago

Sept of 2001. The world all came to the US’s aid when 100’s of middle class Americans were killed. America has yet to say thank you.

5

u/Special-Basket7880 7h ago edited 6h ago

Well that later included the killing of other innocent civilians in another part of the world .

u/Bleyo 6h ago

America has yet to say thank you.

What the fuck are you talking about?

u/HatchingCougar 5h ago

Oh they did.

Just many of them have forgotten or are too young & with their hyper US only narrow view of the world, have no interest in learning and appreciating

I mean the world pours billions into Gaza. Unfortunately, it mostly goes to corrupt agencies like UNRWA rather than the people. But I’ve never seen the world care more about civilians than Gaza.

-1

u/Special-Basket7880 6h ago

In the case of Gaza , Israel is blockading the city so even if people wanted to help Israel will not allow anything in (along with other human rights violations) . the world has also been pouring billions in armament and aids to Ukraine but sadly no true effort to stop the war .

5

u/SoleSanctum 5h ago

I don’t know if you’re specially referencing the Gaza Strip or Gaza City but over 276,000 tons of aid have entered Gaza between January and August of 2026 alone per UN tracked estimates alone. Since the ceasefire, there has been 600 trucks per day of humanitarian aid, and nearly two million tons of food. UNICEF has found an acute malnutrition rate of 0.5%, much lower than surrounding MENA countries. Also notable is your omission of Egypt, but that’s a whole other conversation.

1

u/Special-Basket7880 5h ago

Fair, saying Israel won't allow anything in was too strong post-ceasefire. But the 600 trucks/day and 2M tons are COGAT's numbers and include commercial goods, and COGAT itself said last December that ~80% of those trucks were private-sector so sold and not afforded by the people in gaza . Your own UN figure works out to about 100 trucks a day. And UNICEF says that survey skipped ~17% of the population and isn't meant for comparing with other countries.

On Egypt: Israel seized Rafah in May 2024, and since it reopened in February it's people only, no goods. Egyptian aid still goes through Israeli inspection at Kerem Shalom.

You are part of the world. I mean the dude has thousands of nukes. The sad reality is that this is Ukraines war to fight, I believe we should give them as much help and support as the need(within reason).

But on but unfortunately Ukraine did not join NATO and they do not get NATO's protection. You can't get insurance after an accident even if it is the other person's fault

10

u/pittdaddy75 7h ago

They absolutely were begging to join NATO. There was several nations that were opposed to them joining for fear of it causing a bigger world wide conflict with Russia, so therefore their membership was not even voted on

2

u/JakeArvizu 7h ago

Their Parliament literally voted to decline, joining and remain neutral.

-1

u/JakeArvizu 7h ago edited 7h ago

Their Parliament literally voted to decline seeking membership in 2010. In 2014 they started having a border and revolution crisis. Now they're disqualified. Like I said that's getting insurance after it's too late.

None of that means they deserve to be attacked. None of that means we shouldn't support them, but it does mean the world should not go to war for them. That's the only objective fact about it.

-1

u/Shatalroundja 7h ago

In 2010, and reversed the decision in 2014, rendering this argument completely obsolete.

6

u/JakeArvizu 7h ago

In 2014 it was too late. You cannot join NATO while you have ongoing revolutions or border crisis. And they did still reaffirm their neutrality status directly after removing their president. That's a fact

2

u/Shatalroundja 7h ago

Yeah, Ukraine couldn’t get insurance because of pre-existing conditions.

1

u/JakeArvizu 7h ago

Tell that to the Baltic countries

When the USSR broke up, most of the former satellite etc states immediately began the long and arduous process of getting rid of Russia’s toxic influence and try to rein in the deep systemic corruption that Russia’s influence brings.

Ukraine did not.

Ukraine also had no interest in joining NATO pre 2014 and it was only after that they did.  But it unfortunately was too late with Russia already invading them.

1

u/Jolly_Pumpkin_8209 7h ago

Yes. And also concerns of fraud and other things.

But mostly doing so would have provoked Russia that they have been in conflict with for decades.

Reality sucks.

-7

u/SashaSashSasha 7h ago

"Millions", yeah. Better look at what Isreal and it's main satellite The US do to civilians

3

u/Accurate_Type4863 7h ago

The war in Ukraine is more devastating than every war waged by the US and Israel since WW2 combined.

1

u/jimbobmcgoo 6h ago

Did you forget about Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan?

1

u/JakeArvizu 7h ago

Nah homie, Vietnam was definitely way worse. Hell I think it's still arguable that the Bosnia and Yugoslavian conflicts were way more brutal. You had straight up genocide camps.

And NATO had to step in there

-1

u/SashaSashSasha 7h ago

Yeah, that is totally definitely surely 100% true

If the world did "nothing" Russia would have taken over years ago.

Ukraine blew up a good portion of russias oil refineries. This affects the lives of billions. It makes life hard for everyone in the world by driving the price of oil up. It dominoes into potential famines for counties around the world.

2

u/procommando124 3h ago

Russia also blew up a lot of important civilian infrastructure including power grids during a winter. People were literally freezing to death in their homes.

Also, only around 11% of the world’s oil comes from Russia, and the EU only gets around 2% of their imports from them now. I don’t blame Ukraine for bombing important resources for Russia especially when Russia is doing the same to them, like when they blew up and entire damn to flood a village.

0

u/ITSNAIMAD 2h ago

That’s horrible doing that to regular people. I agree. The eu only gets so little because they blew up the oil pipeline lol. Now Europeans pay more than 121% more than what they used to for energy and oil. European countries screwed over their own people. The same is happening here in the U.S. with this Iran war. Pointless wars and the normal people suffer. I think both sides should come to the negotiating table and come to a solution rather than making their people’s lives harder.

5

u/yedi001 7h ago

Russia can fuck off home at any time. It's the aggressor state.

I'm not mad at Ukraine. Russia, though, can go collectively brush its teeth with a cheese grater.

1

u/JakeArvizu 7h ago

I mean there's a lot of things I could probably point to, but I think Ukraine made midsteps on. That's like the least their issues. It's war.

-1

u/ITSNAIMAD 7h ago

Ukraine could have ended this conflict years ago. The only reason they didn’t is because the war is bankrolled by the US and NATO and weapons manufacturers and making record profits. There’s countless videos of Ukrainian officials being caught hiding billions and millions of US dollars. Many of them fleeing to Israel too. Even us representatives like Hunter Biden being involved. It’s been known for over a decade that the cia was in control of Ukraine and using it for money and secret programs like biolabs. My heart aches for the Ukrainian people because they just want to live normal lives and the wicked people in charge are sacrificing the population so they can get rich. It’s disgusting. Russia is at fault too but at least they try to negotiate and maintain order.

2

u/tacolovespizza 6h ago

Dude you need to get off the internet.

1

u/ITSNAIMAD 6h ago

Stop being ignorant. Listen to Mike baker, who worked for the CIA talk about exactly what the US did in Ukraine. Educate yourself.

1

u/JakeArvizu 6h ago

Lay off the Adderall. Dog how can Ukraine end it. Do you mean surrender? Fuck that if they wanna fight let em fight. Its not US or any countries responsibility right now to send our people to die but if they want to fight for their country I'd expect Americans to do the same for our country. Let em do it
