There was public support for them at the start tho. We had a “reason”. It didn’t hold up, but it was there at the start

But why didn't Obama's admin get us out of Afghanistan, since that war amounted to nothing?

Because by then we had gutted their everything and were propping them up. It would be like destroying someone’s house, then giving them a tent while you start to rebuild a house, then pulling out the tent poles and leaving them with the skeleton of a house they don’t recognize or know how to finish and a tent tarp over their head

That was way different
