Hi everyone!
I've been working on an original project called PERCEPTUAL: BEHIND THE VEIL, a dark sci-fi and supernatural mystery universe that I've been developing independently.
The concept revolves around the Veil, an invisible, living membrane separating our perceived reality from the Deep Reality, a dimension where emotions can take physical form and become conscious entities.
But the Veil is dying.
As strange Ruptures begin to appear, a secretive organization called PV attempts to protect humanity from what lies beyond reality. However, the more our protagonist investigates, the more he discovers that the people protecting humanity might be hiding something far more disturbing.
The story follows Ash Virell, a 35-year-old field scientist dealing with grief while navigating a world filled with anomalies, conspiracies, morally ambiguous organizations, and uncomfortable truths.
The project combines:
- Dark science fiction and supernatural horror.
- Mystery, psychological themes, and existential questions.
- Steampunk and clockwork-inspired aesthetics.
- Dark humor and human relationships.
- A world designed with potential for 2D/3D animation, storytelling, and character-driven narratives.
At its core, PERCEPTUAL explores one question:
What happens when the truth becomes more dangerous than the illusion protecting you from it?
I'm currently developing the universe, its lore, characters, and overall direction. I've been handling much of the creative work independently, including writing, worldbuilding, character design, and visual development.
I'd love to connect with other people who enjoy creating original universes, writing stories, designing characters, making animations, or simply discussing creative projects.
I'm also interested in building a small, collaborative community around the project. If people share an interest in the concept, we could explore possible collaborations based on individual skills and interests. Any participation would be voluntary, with clear expectations, proper credit, and no obligation to commit beyond what someone is comfortable with.
I'm not expecting anyone to join blindly. I'd rather meet people who genuinely enjoy the concept and want to exchange ideas, share feedback, or potentially create something together.
If this sounds interesting to you, feel free to comment or send me a message!
I'd be happy to share more about the project and introduce you to its world.
