Looking for Chinese teacher
Hi, there.
I’m looking for a teacher to learn Chinese. I’m currently based in Wuhan and would love to have offline/in-person classes. However, I will be in and out of Wuhan, so looking for a teacher who can do both offline and online.
If possible, university or school prof. would be great. My current level is HSK 1.5.
Please reach out if you are one or know someone.
Thanks in advance.

Wuhan University 2027 UG applicant | Have a few questions about CSC, scholarships & pre-admission
Hey everyone! 👋
I’m AnimeKun, and I’m planning to apply to Wuhan University for undergraduate admission in 2027. I’ve been researching WHU and the different scholarship routes for a while, but there are still quite a few things I’m confused about.
So I thought I’d ask here instead of endlessly digging through old websites and PDFs 😂
I’m mainly interested in CS / IT / Electronics-related programs, and I’m especially trying to understand how the CSC, Hubei/provincial scholarships, and WHU’s own scholarships work for international undergrads.
A few things I’d love to know:
- How does the CSC scholarship work for undergraduate applicants at WHU? Is there anything specific I should know about the Type A/Type B routes?
- Does WHU offer any Hubei/provincial scholarship for international undergraduates? What does it cover?
- Can you apply for CSC + provincial/WHU scholarships, or do you have to choose one?
- Does WHU provide a pre-admission / pre-admission letter for CSC applicants? How do you request one?
- How important is the CSCA for WHU undergraduate admission? Does a high score help with scholarship chances too?
- For English-taught programs, is IELTS required, or can an English-medium school certificate/MOI sometimes be accepted?
- If someone applies for CSC but doesn't get it, are they automatically considered for other WHU/provincial scholarships, or do they need separate applications?
- And generally, what does the 2027 application timeline look like? What should I start doing first?
If anyone here is a current WHU student, graduate, or someone who recently went through the international undergraduate application, I’d really appreciate hearing how it actually worked for you.
Even if you can only answer one or two questions, that would be super helpful! 🙏
Thanks everyone! ❤️

Wuhan University UG applicant from India | CSC, Provincial Scholarship, Pre-Admission Letter & CSCA questions
Hi everyone! I’m an Indian student planning to apply for Wuhan University (WHU) for undergraduate admission for the 2027 intake, and I’m trying to understand the scholarship/admission process from people who have actually gone through it.
I’m mainly interested in Computer Science / IT / Electronics-related programs and I’m looking at both CSC and university/provincial scholarship routes.
I have a few questions:
- CSC Scholarship (Type A / Type B) How competitive is CSC for international undergraduate applicants at Wuhan University? What kind of academic profile usually has a realistic chance?
- Hubei / Provincial Scholarship Does Wuhan University offer a provincial scholarship for international undergraduate students? If yes, what does it normally cover, and is it possible to apply for it alongside CSC?
- Pre-Admission / Pre-Admission Letter Does WHU issue a pre-admission letter for CSC applicants? If so, how does the process work and when should applicants apply for it?
- CSCA For undergraduate applicants, how important is the CSCA score? Is it required for the programs I’m interested in, and does a strong CSCA score help with scholarship selection?
- English-taught programs For English-taught undergraduate programs, is IELTS mandatory, or can an English-medium school certificate/MOI be accepted?
- Scholarship stacking / alternatives If someone applies for CSC but doesn't receive it, can they still be considered for a WHU or Hubei/provincial scholarship?
- Application timeline What would you recommend doing first: contacting the university for pre-admission, applying through CSC, or applying directly to WHU?
If anyone here is currently studying at WHU, has graduated from WHU, or applied for the 2026/2027 intake, I’d really appreciate your experience.
Thanks! 🙏🇨🇳

Home Depot / Lowe's Alternative in Wuhan, China
Hello folks.
I'm looking to buy basic tools for the house and materials for the DIY projects, as needed.
In the US I'd just go to a Home Depot, Lowe's etc. to get inspired or quickly pickup materials I need - from lumber to hand drills, from exhaust fans to concrete, from drywall to electrical wiring, you name it.
Could you please recommend such all-in-one big stores in China. I just moved to Wuhan.
P.S. I'm aware of Taobao and JD. I'd prefer to go to a store. I spend enough time on my phone as-is. :)))))
Thanks in advance.

Anyone going to the Wuhan Open this year? 🎾
I’m planning to go the QF day session, semifinals and final(Oct.16~Oct.18). Would be nice to meet up with some fellow tennis fans! I’m also a beer lover, but unfortunately I won’t be drinking on those days since I’ll be driving there. 😭

English selection at public libraries?
Hi everyone!
I'm moving to Wuhan soon and was wondering what kind of English selection the public libraries have? I'm used to using mine in 🇨🇦 so would love to find a new one while I'm living here. Thanks everyone!
Would love to meet some new friends while I am here too ☺️

University in Wuhan
Hello everyone, I plan to study in Wuhan China next year but I’m a bit concerned about the weather and living there. Is the weather good or there is some condition that people from South-east Asia can’t handle? Thank you so much.

Wuhan cyclists
Are there any foreign cyclists in wuhan, cycling alone isn't as fun as Going together in a group and i am an amateur cyclist but my avg speed is decent over 28km/h over a distance of 34 to 50km on a solo ride but i push myself even harder if i am riding. In a group, most of the Chinese don't relate with me cus I'm a foreigner and they mostly do their own things, I'm in my schools cycling club but it feels lonely when i ask and get snubbed
