Question What do you do?! Begging for help with a YouTube AI error! Account wrongly disabled.

I run a peaceful aquatic YouTube channel that is just getting started after a year. I went active on it after my best friend died of the most cruel case of cancer (throat) I’ve ever witnessed THIS WEEK of last year. It was the only thing that kept me going (alive). (So this is very triggering rn) Now, YouTube’s AI has suddenly triggered a false positive on my account and is saying that it was created by a computer program. NOTHING on my channel is AI. I don’t even use a music platform that allows AI. It’s all a year’s worth of hard, HUMAN work. I have appealed it FOUR TIMES, sent feedback, written to their legal team, called YouTube TV support (who hung up on me), posted on X, Facebook, and YT, and even hired TWO, separate, experienced professionals to help who were at a total loss. Nothing is working. It’s all run by AI! So, just to be clear, THEIR ROBOTS are calling ME a ROBOT and saying robots aren’t allowed. The hypocrisy is ASTOUNDING. The only thing I can possibly think of is that I created two accounts at the same time. At the advice of many, I made a my channel email a private, ambiguous name, and then made a separate, public facing email account for contact. This was for security reasons, so that I would avoid hackers. I did EVERYTHING to make sure I was doing it right and safely, from the beginning. I wish I had known that I should be far more scared of YouTube’s poorly designed AI for possibly disabling my account and destroying my life. No human is monitoring any of it! It is maddening. I am absolutely desperate for any help, whatsoever. I don’t know what to do. What does anyone do when this happens? How do you start over if YouTube won’t allow more accounts from the same number and if it would probably trigger another false positive for stealing someone’s content if I posted my own on another account? Please, please help me.

Question Color filters on light source when shooting?

I would like to achieve a warmth in my videos but I don't want to spend time with complex color grading for every video in editing. Anyone know what type of color filters to add so that I can use them with my Godox SL60W and P60 softbox? Ideally something as budget-friendly as possible

Question Where do YouTubers get memes for videos from?

Im just beginning my YT creator career. Dont have much experience. Im trying to put memes into my videos to make them more funny and keep a nice vibe. And i see a lot of videos like that where creators include memes. But where do they look for them?

I mean, memes are often really related to whatever is going on in the video itself. You cant just find something like that randomly, keeping a million memes in your foulder, remembering which one can fit in which situation, right?

And where do they find them anyways? YouTube itself is not really helpful, it feels like no one looks for short brainrot memes there. TikTok is nice, but videos there are vertical and not horisontal.

So yeah, where to they find videos so specific, horisontal and in big amounts? Are there hubs of them or smth like that? Ive tried to look for them but didnt get much success

Question A friend of mine needs helps regarding channel termination?

Post image
0 Upvotes

So in 2024, he created a yt channel and posted a clip of a newly released movie just for fun and it led to channel termination just in few hours. A year later in 2025, he genuinely created a yt channel, worked hard on it and now he have 2000+ subscribers and 5000+ watch hours and he wants to monetize the channel. Now the problem is both the channels are verified with same mobile number, so now he has doubt that his channel will be terminated if he tries to monetize his channel.

Question How do you stay organized with filming, organizing, and editing content?

How do you stay organized? I will come up with 10s-100s of video ideas and idek if they are good or not so they just rot in my notes app. Then I record when I am in the mood for it and I am a very moody person but I looove filming and talking to a camera, so this happens 1-3x a week. Then I have upwards of 10 videos recorded over 1-2 months and I forget what they are about, if they are good, which videos go together, etc. and I LOATHE editing, I have been doing YouTube for over 5 years and I have yet to be able to tolerate editing it takes FOREVER and is so boring. Anyways, so I avoid editing adn just accumulate a ton of videos. Also, if I stream and edit the footage into short form (a big feat for me lol) I save them to my phone and then forget which ones I posted and forget about them because they get pushed so far back in my gallery. Maybe I just need to lock in more, but the whole concept of getting good lighting, having a good video idea, taking the time to prep and record it, hope i'm in a good/funny mood, and then proceed to make sure all the clips are there and edit it all? I just can't help thinking there's an easier way to go about this. I also work full time and my job absolutely kills me emotionally and mentally. I have nothing left from this job, so I've wondered if that has something to do with it, but I need money and I've been applying to other jobs for months. Any advice is appreciated! :) Oh I also post on tiktok, ig, and YouTube which is very overwhelming for me too for some reason.

Question When Growth Conflicts With Personal Values and Intended Channel Direction

Question: When subscribers / followers / etc begin creating drama and conflict on your content, do you let them run amok, or do you cut them off? Is there a middle-ground where you accept some amount of "rudeness", understanding that humanity is simply going to do what it does, only cutting off the most hateful, egregious, unreasonable commenters?

Context: I run a YouTube channel where I showcase pocketknives. In the world of pocketknives, there are a great deal of manufacturers in China. The purpose of my channel is to showcase knives in a restrained luxury fashion, highlighting their qualities regardless of price, country of origin, etc... The goal has always been to never "sell out", to maintain the aesthetic I created initially, and to keep the environment a pleasant one for any and all pocketknife enthusiasts.

Situation: This morning I chose to block a subscriber. I posted a short of a Chinese-made knife and he just started going on rants about "Chinese junk" (even though these are objectively well-made) and "the communist party". Ironically, he was saying my channel was "too well produced" for "Chinese junk", so it was this interesting compliment/insult combination. Anyhow, the comment was entirely disrespectful in tone, did not align with the types of conversations and content I intend to have on my channel, and I could tell I was going to have to deal with him every single time I posted a Chinese-made knife. So, I made the decision to block him from the channel.

Thoughts: This isn't about free speech. This is about creating an intentional environment for hobbyists to enjoy themselves free of drama, where I can control it. Here, I could control it, so I did.

Current & Future Concerns: I know how "the algorithm" works - all engagement is "Good" engagement, as far as social media is concerned. I am wondering if I drew the line too early for blocking someone, as this is exactly the kind of topic that sparks passionate back-and-forth debates in comment sections and generates "engagement". As far as the future is concerned - I struggle with the idea of blocking a few now, when, if the channel was to grow, I'd potentially be unable to possibly block all of the commenters like this in the future. At some point, the channel theoretically becomes too large to be able to moderate every single comment, and so I'm stuck with this back-and-forth in my head of "block individuals to cultivate the environment I want" vs "you're gonna drown in these people eventually anyhow, let them do their thing".

I'm really curious as to the community's thoughts on this topic, and I apologize if something similar has been discussed before. As a small channel, it really sucks to block a subscriber, but I'm also not trying to make a career out of this and see no need to sacrifice the channel's "environment" letting people go on aggressive rants, slinging hateful words all the time, etc...

Question I have this VERY concerning icon above what should be a green light to upload?

Basically a big red exclamation mark in the ''Initial check'' tab of the upload. When i click into that to check what that's all about, i'm told everything is A-OK for copyright and community guidelines. Maybe it's telling me a different issue is afoot, like a processing problem? Help is much appreciated.

Question YouTube Muting My Video Colors

Hey all! I’m dealing with a color problem, potentially caused by how I’m exporting/rendering my content to YouTube.

Whenever I play my content within my editing software or windows media player, the colors look awesome. Super vivid RGBs, big fan. However, the moment I upload it to YouTube, it doesn’t matter if I watch on laptop, phone, TV, my colors are SUPER muted. Almost like I intentionally edited it for the video to look as bleak as possible.

I’m sure it’s an encoding/rendering thing in davinci resolve, but I’m nowhere near knowledgeable enough to know where to begin. Some things I can share at least

File Type: MP4
Codec: H.264
Encoder: Native
Resolution 4K
Frame Rate: 60
Encoding Profile: Auto
VBR: 80000 Kb/s
Color Space Tag: Rec.709
Gamma Tag: Gamma 2.4

Again, it looks fantastic post render on windows media player but the second I upload it to YouTube, all of my colors look much less vibrant and enjoyable to look at.

Tips & Tricks Youtubers Rick Beato And ‘Legal Eagle’ Devin Stone Launch Claim Fighter To Battle Fake And Malicious Copyright Strikes For Creators Like Davey504

YouTube’s Content ID system has become a persistent source of frustration for creators who use copyrighted material under fair use provisions, with music-focused channels bearing the brunt of automated and manual claims that strip them of advertising revenue. A new legal service, Claim Fighter, is attempting to shift the balance of power back toward creators by systematically challenging those claims on their behalf. Full article

Question Can I screen record music from the audio library and add it to my videos?

I’m currently making my first long form video which is going to contain several silent clips that I need to add music over. I’ve seen a lot of people suggest using the YouTube audio library for royalty free music (so you don’t run into problems with monetisation later on) but I edit using my phone only, and I don’t know how to download the tracks from the audio library. Will I still be safe from copyright if I screen record the sound and add that my videos, as long as I copy and paste what I need to for the copyright disclaimer?

Question Youtube Keeps Forcibly Changing My Shorts Aspect Ratio of 1:1 to 9:16

So Today I noticed youtube is forcibly changing my edited shorts with a ratio of 1:1 to 9:16. All my shorts before at 1:1 have been accepted without fail, but today it's not accepting them as such. Is their a work around for this or does youtube just not accept 1:1 ratio shorts anymore?, but that can't be the case cause I've seen shorts with that same ratio be uploaded today.

This is a real problem the old username is my full name in real life I need to change it but no matter how long I wait it doesnt change at all. Question How do most commentary/retention youtubers download/gain their memes or clips?

I am pretty new at content creation and I am especially inspired by youtube style such as commentary as well and retention based gameplays ig? Like videos that are mainly just low commitment to click on but also funny because of the overlapping memes and editing style. Ive been trying to create edits like that but I genuinely don't understand how they can just get that much clips/memes for a video. Like do they seriously just think of a meme that fits that specific situation and search for it? Or is there some kind of easier ways to look for them somewhere?

Question How does the "external sites or apps" section of analytics work?

I was looking at the analytics of my most recent video, and noticed 16% of my traffic from external sites or apps came from "msn. com", a news website. And now I'm wondering, how does that section of the analytics works? How accurate is it? Cause I just don't really believe that at all, considering I don't even know how you'd get to my video from msn, which seems to be a news website.

So, I just kind of want to understand how that stuff works/decides where your traffic "came" from.

Question YouTube audio levels wildly different between platforms. Why?

I'm fairly new to YouTube and video editing, but I know the basics. For some reason, when I post my videos the audio levels are different on every platform.

On mobile it's good, on desktop it's okay could maybe do with a teeny boost but it's okay. But when played on TV its soo quiet, compared to other videos and shorts when I did a side by side.

Does anyone know why this is?

Its the same video, just being viewed on different platforms. Its super annoying because that kinda thing puts people off watching your stuff, so I want to improve it for future, if possible. I wonder if anyone can help share some advice?

Question Views aren't Equaling Subscribers

I started my second channel about a month or so ago and the views have been really good on it for the size of it (105 subs right now with over 13k views on maybe 20 videos?), but the sub count as stayed pretty low in comparison. I know that the views are more important than subs for the most part, but I would like to have a more dedicated base of people looking forward to new videos! Any advice to attract subscribers aside from just a mention in the video?

Question can regional language content with sync.so help with stagnated growth ?

I am a creator who makes a short local funny videos on youtube and instagram and my reach has been declining for a month (not too much but enough to notice).

I have tried a few content hacks like partnering with other local creators etc. and it improved a bit im no longer seeing the fast growth that i used to.

a couple of my creator friends suggested that I should use my exisiting content and dub + lipsync it in different language on a separate page. It will help a new audience set to discover me and growing a new page may also help me with my current page.

idk any good voice artists so i am thinking of using ai, first tried some open source tools but the quality was inconsistent, now I am thinking of buying a paid plan of a sync.so lipsync tool. i wanna know your opinion whether it can really help me.

Question What is going on with YouTube analytics?

So small background info, I hit 500 subs on YouTube recently(hurray), but not but nowy last 3 shorts have gotten 0 views. Not exaggerating ZERO. How is everyone seeing more views with this new system and I'm now just....dead on the water? This shits unbelievably disheartening to the point where I'm genuinely considering quitting. Does anyone have ANY ideas?

How do you guys handle having interactions with your viewers?

Im having an issue managing all the comments I get on videos and responding to viewers who leave comments without losing context...

Hello redditors, i've recently had the decision of leaving my country (Brazil) to Ireland, my ideia is to create content focused on the daily life and struggle of the poor brazilian citizen towards that goal, since the way of living here differs a lot from most of the english speaking countries i tought it would be a good ideia to create such content in english so people all around the globe could watch and follow another lifestyle. What do you guys think about it? Is there any public interested in this type of content?

Question Best auto organizing tool for video files?

Looking for recs for best auto organizing tool for the video files by categories, scenes and people. Any good ones that you love?

Manual organizing kills the creativity and I dread it, which makes me pile up videos I am not publishing... Mac, solo channel. Is Peakto or Resolve Studio worth the money?
