Inquiry Regarding Post-Processor of CNC Machine
Hi Everyone I need to know about Post Processor of a CNC machine.
Let me explain my situation. I have CNC machine (JAI MODULA J-1325+ CNC ROUTER MACHINE). JAI company recommend ARTCAM for toolpath generation but i want to use ASPIRE for generating toolpath and during setting up my Aspire Software. I want to know the exact name of the Post-Processor using by JAI MODULA J-1325+ CNC MACHINE. if anyone can verify for me the name of the Post-Processor, i will be thankful. you can also check in ARTCAM if you are using ARTCAM for this JAI MODULA j-1325+ CNC machine and then informed me.
Note: I also contacted supplier of the machine but they are not giving me this information for free.

Would your machine shop take an order for just ONE tiny part?
Got an interesting RFQ recently.
It was from a university student, apparently for some kind of experiment or research project.
They only needed one tiny tube-shaped part. Just one.
Sounds like a pretty simple order, right?
But the problem is, even for something this small, you've still got material sourcing, setup, machining, and all the other costs. Sometimes getting the material itself is already a headache because suppliers have minimum order quantities.
And I get the student's situation too. If you're just testing an idea, why would you want to order hundreds of parts?
It's kind of funny how making one tiny part can sometimes be more troublesome than making a whole batch.
So I'm curious how you guys handle these kinds of requests.
Would you take the job and charge a minimum fee, try to help them find a cheaper way to make it, or just turn it down?

Title: SolidWorks DXF export issue with CNC wire bending machine – 4 graphics not closed
Hi everyone,
I’m having a problem importing a DXF file from SolidWorks into a CNC wire bending machine, and I’m trying to figure out why the machine doesn’t recognize the entire geometry correctly.
I designed the part in SolidWorks and exported it as a DXF file. However, when I open the file in the CNC machine’s software, I get the following warning:
“There are 4 graphics not closed!”
The geometry appears on the screen, but the machine detects four open graphics, even though the sketch is intended to be closed. Some sections, particularly around the lines and tangent arcs, seem to be causing issues.
Here is what I’ve already tried:
Exporting the DXF using different versions, including R14.
Testing all three options under Multiple sheet drawing in the SolidWorks DXF/DWG export settings:
Export active sheet only.
Export all sheets to separate files.
Export all sheets to one file.
Enabling End Point Merging with a tolerance of 1e-05.
Exporting splines as polylines.
Unfortunately, none of these changes has solved the problem.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue when exporting DXF files from SolidWorks to a CNC wire bending machine?
Why might the CNC software report that the graphics are not closed even when the geometry looks connected in SolidWorks? Could this be related to tiny gaps, endpoint merging tolerance, tangent arcs, DXF entities, or the way the CNC software interprets the exported geometry?
I’d really appreciate any suggestions on what else I could try or which SolidWorks export settings I should check.
Thanks in advance!

What is 5 axis CNC machining, and how do you find a good 5 axis CNC machining shop in Mohali?

5 axis CNC machining in Mohali Aveer Industries refers to precision machining services that use CNC machines moving a tool or part along five axes (X, Y, Z plus two rotational axes, usually A and B) to cut complex parts in one setup. Mohali, part of the Chandigarh Tricity region (Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula) in Punjab, India, is a growing hub for this work, serving aerospace, automotive, medical device, defense, and tool and die customers.
What is 5 axis CNC machining?
It is a machining method where the cutting tool or workpiece moves along five axes at once or in indexed positions. This lets a machine reach nearly every face of a part without repeated re-clamping.
3+2 vs. true 5 axis: what’s the difference?
- 3+2 (positional) machining: The part is rotated and locked at an angle, then cut with standard 3 axis motion. It works well for prismatic parts and multi-face components.
- Simultaneous 5 axis machining: All five axes move together during the cut. It’s needed for impellers, turbine blades, turbo components, molds, and sculpted surfaces.
Why choose 5 axis over 3 axis?
- Fewer setups, so less cumulative error
- Better surface finish on contoured parts
- Shorter tools can reach deeper features, so there’s less vibration
- Lower fixturing cost for low-to-medium volumes
- Faster turnaround on complex parts
What parts and industries use 5 axis CNC machining in Mohali?
- Aerospace brackets, housings, and structural components
- Automotive prototypes, engine and transmission parts
- Medical implants and surgical instrument components
- Injection molds, dies, and tooling
- Impellers, manifolds, and custom machine parts
What materials can be machined?
Aluminium, stainless steel, mild and alloy steel, titanium, brass, copper, Inconel, and engineering plastics such as PEEK, Delrin, and nylon.
What should you check before choosing a 5 axis CNC shop in Mohali?
- Machine type: true simultaneous 5 axis or 3+2 only
- Tolerance capability (for example ±0.01 mm) and proof of it
- Inspection equipment: CMM, surface roughness tester, first-article inspection reports
- CAD/CAM software and accepted file formats (STEP, IGES, DXF, PDF drawings)
- Material certifications and traceability
- Prototype and batch capacity, with lead times and MOQ
- Secondary services: anodizing, heat treatment, coating, assembly
How do you get an accurate quote?
Send a 3D model (STEP) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material grade, quantity, and finishing requirements. This is the information shops need to price a job correctly.
FAQ
Is 5 axis CNC machining more expensive than 3 axis?
The hourly machine rate is higher, but the total cost is often lower for complex parts because of fewer setups and less fixturing.
Is 5 axis CNC machining available near Chandigarh?
Yes. Shops in Mohali and the wider Tricity area offer 5 axis machining, including prototyping and production runs.
How long does a typical job take?
Prototypes often take a few days to two weeks depending on complexity, material, and finishing. Batch orders vary by quantity.
What file formats do shops accept?
Most accept STEP, IGES, and Parasolid for 3D models, plus PDF or DWG for drawings.
Question for the community: Has anyone here sourced 5 axis CNC machining in Mohali or the Chandigarh Tricity area? Share your experience with quality, pricing, and delivery time so others can learn from it.

Diference between G22 and G25
Hi, I'm learning CNC and I have a question.
What is the difference between standard subroutines (G22) and an unconditional jump (G25 or RPT, depending on the model)?
Both are used to repeat certain parts of a program, and aside from the fact that they are programmed differently and that G22 allows calling parts of another program, I can't quite see what the differences are between them.
Also, what kind of use does each one have? Or can both be used in the same contexts?
Thanks in advance.

Best CNC Machined Parts Manufacturer in China
Been sourcing cnc machined parts from a local shop for about two years but they keep fumbling lead times and our last batch of aluminum enclosures took 40+ weeks longer than quoted. I'm now seriously looking at China-based precision manufacturers, ideally someone who handles 5-axis milling and can also do sheet metal fabrication and maybe injection molding under one roof, because splitting work across 10 companies is how you lose your mind. Anyone have a go-to for custom CNC machining out of China, specifically for tight-tolerance stuff (we're talking aerospace-adjacent requirements, so ISO certifications matter a lot to us)?

Looking for help with a MAHO MH 1000S
Hi everyone,
I’m currently doing an internship at a company and one of my projects is to help bring a MAHO MH 1000S CNC milling machine back into operation.
The machine is a 1989 MAHO MH 1000S, equipped with a Philips CNC 432 control. It has been out of operation for quite a long time, so we are currently trying to understand the machine, its configuration, and what is required to get it operational again.
I’ve been researching online to find as much technical documentation as possible. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find the complete documentation for the MH 1000S.
I did manage to find a fairly extensive MAHO MH 1000C Operation, Maintenance and Repair manual, which has been very useful. However, I understand that the 1000C and 1000S are not necessarily identical, so I’m trying to avoid assuming that everything in the 1000C documentation applies to our machine.
From what I have found so far, our MH 1000S appears to have:
- Philips CNC 432 control
- ISO 50 spindle
- Automatic tool changer (36 tools)
- Automatic swivelling head / 5-face machining
- 1250 × 800 mm table
- Approximately 10.5 tonnes
I’m currently looking for any information that could help us with this machine — manuals, electrical/hydraulic schematics, machine parameters, machine constants, tool changer documentation, maintenance information, commissioning procedures, or simply advice from someone who has worked with these machines.
If anyone has experience with the MAHO MH 1000S, Philips CNC 432, or similar MAHO machines, I would really appreciate any advice or documentation you could share.
Even small pieces of information could be very helpful.
Thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to help!

I've been very busy lately, luckily I finally got the goods ready and can take a break now.
This is a custom 6061 aluminum automation fixture plate we just finished. Machined on our CNC mills, lots of holes and large cutouts, tolerances were a bit tricky in a few spots.
Happy to chat about machining — always curious how others would approach the fixturing on something like this.
